These are the people I bought my DECT phone from, though through their eBay shop as it worked out £5 cheaper.

    Just found it on Ebay...

Ooops! I realize I have just bought (Ebay) twin BT synergy 3105 phones at 14.99 plus £9 postage.... I had checked BT and they charge 6 delivery, so I did not think it was too much. To tell you the truth, I placed a bid thinking I would be outbidded soon, as it has happened often... but I won!! And I don't even know whether they are DECT or not, since I do not know what on earth DECT is.... what do I do, pay or back out (if I can)????

The BT synergy 3105's are indeed DECT, they are also GAP compatible.

DECT = Digital Enhanced (formerly European) Cordless Telecommunications.

GAP = Generic access profile. The purpose of GAP is to assure handsets and basestations from different makes can operate with each other at a minimum level.

The 3105 model is a DECT phone. DECT is an abbreviation for Digital Enhanced Cordless Telephone.

We have the same model and if I'm being honest I think the sound quality is not as good as our previous model. They are easy to use though.

    Update:

Sorry BexTech, you got there just before I did - probably whilst I was writing. I really should just do short replies from now on! LOL.

Thanks a lot to both of you! As you can see, I am quite "challenged" in the tech department. So the sound is not so good.... someone else said they were happy with this model. What shall I do? Can you back out from an Ebay deal? On the other hand, it's twin tels for 24 pounds....

The only way to back out is not to pay, but then you will get a negative, as your winning bid is legally binding, so they could take it further.
You could try the phones and see what you think of them, if they aren't for you, you could always sell them on eBay, many people are given items when they already have the same or similar thing.

They are for me! And I would loose money selling on Ebay because this chap is selling them at the price mentioned -so I would have to sell cheaper- and will never recover the 9 pounds delivery.... I might as well go on with it. I hope they are not bad....
Obviously if they malfunction I suppose I have a claim. I can't believe, I am always so careful, but every time I have bidded, after a lot of considerations, I have bee outbidded straight away....

Yeah, when I said if they aren't for you, I meant if you don't think they are up to much, not to your liking.

I'm sure they will be fine.
