I have had a similar experience this week with my card. The statement arrived yesterday and there was 2 charges of £5.05 for UGC Cinemas in London. Not a huge amount but my wife called goldfish and there was also 2 transactions that were refused for £925 and £250. A lucky escape! The card is now cancelled of course but how they got the details is a mystery. I only use it on safe websites and the card never leaves my sight in shops etc.

Done a sweep of the PC for nasties and it's all clear too so who knows!

You need to install and run an adware programme such as Adaware or spybot. .

I will second those suggestions. Both progs are free and very good.

I hope yours is dealt with better than the shambles I'm currently experiencing with Morgan Stanley. They waited 10 days and even then I had to chase them, before they issued a new card, and then 10 days later it turns up, with my name spelt wrong. I was told it was a typo on their behalf. I told them where they can shove their account.
  • I had the same problem i sed my cahoot credit card at an asda petrol station self serve. Thinking nothing else about it i looked at my statement 3 months later and 2 £50 cash withdrawls had been made! And not by me. I rang up and they said that as it is a chip and pin card i must of let someone use my card or given them the pin. I am still battling with them at the moment. Its a nightmare.
No one said it was going to be easy!!

I have to say, that I am deeply suspicious of those who supply the cards to start with.
Wildly my mind beats against you, yet the soul obeys. :heartpuls

kimmie32 sorry to learn of your experience.

Did Cahoot confirm that the 2 x £50 disputed cash amounts showing on your statement were PIN verified?

Presume you've reported this to the police and informed Cahoot you've done so?

This has happend to me too .............. I have a sneeky suspission that someone has hacked into a site I have used and stolen the details that way as all were online transactions which needed the 3 digit pin which is on the back of the card. I havnt used my card (debit card) for months online, Checked my pc too, nothing bad came back.
