Hey Pennywise - whats done is done now so please don't be thinking of how 'stupid' you've been but turn it into a positive. I challenge you to have both dresses on Ebay by end of the weekend! It'll only take ten minutes and bet your surprised at the results xx
Not really much to report today. Yesterdays Ebay top has got 4 watchers already! Been invited to a party on Sunday for the football so need to buy some beers in for that and DH and DS need haircuts too this weekend.
DH and I have decided the playroom is the next room for tackling. Its shocking really at the state of the walls, think we are going to choose a blue washable colour as DS brushes against it all the time. Plus I'm hunting for some HUGE pin board type things to put all the artwork onto instead of the walls, if I can't find something it might be making something from some cork tiles or something. Plus I think I'm going to get some big blank canvas from Home Baragins and put some pictures on them so they can be easily changed, some Thomas stickers or something.
Will put my list in to save double posting later. For motivation I'm keeping a track of everything I've achieved:- Usual daily jobs - washing up, baby bottles, beds made and upstairs tidy, downstairs tidy, hoover through downstairs, kitchen granite buffed.
- 2 loads of washing ironed
- Running tally of alcohol free days 5/6 as of yesterday
- go through diaries with DH

Trying to do one positive thing (however how small) per day to be mortgage free/reduced and be frugal but still enjoy life!Debt LBM Feb 2010 = £7841.97/ now £0, MFW 2011 = £9k in savings
MFW target 2012 to save £11,000 for Over Payments/fill ISA's and reduce lots of things - outgoings, alcohol, waste, weight0 -
Thanks SAHM, i took both dresses out of the wardrobe yesterday, one i'm not bothered about, but the joules dress is beautiful and i really don't want to part with it but then i can't get in it, so will sell it might have a look on ebay to see if anyone is seling one in a larger size, (naughty i know).
Good luck with the playroom, mine has turned into a dumping ground for stuff as kids are older and tend to use there rooms more and also have less bitty stuff, such as train track and building blocks, been thinking of turning into a second living room, maybe having a sofa bed and tv, my two could then use it to watch films with friends, have sleepovers, play on the wii etc.0 -
SAHM - sounds like you're getting quite organised!! And bravo for keeping it positive - I think that's important and it can be so tough when dealing with debts - I really have to fight feeling negative about it some days.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

Hi!! Sorry long time no 'speak' - thanks for missing me Triggles.
Hope this comes out ok as posting on my BB for the first time.
Had a bit of a blip and cc now stands at about 3200 - oops. Big oops.
Really want to start back again with this diary as it really did help to keep me on the right path.
To be totally honest I'm having a bit of a time of it at the minute. I've injured myself and can hardly walk but of course I need to keep carrying on doing the running of the house/looking after boys/cooking/ironing the usual rubbish! Ended up having a huge row with DH and I'm now sulking upstairs. Hhhmmmm. Just feel totally and completely unappreciated and that no one actually cares that much about me. Can't seem to make anyone happy or do anything right.
Well I've just come back on my diary and just ranted and moaned.
Promise I will try harder to be more DFW
Oh I did go to Lidl today and spent 30 quid on the weeks shop as the freezer is full with meat.Trying to do one positive thing (however how small) per day to be mortgage free/reduced and be frugal but still enjoy life!Debt LBM Feb 2010 = £7841.97/ now £0, MFW 2011 = £9k in savings

SAHM - so sorry to hear things have been tougher lately. I know what you mean about having to just tough it out even though we're not feeling well or up to it. Hope you're feeling better soon!MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

Sorry to hear you are having a tough time at the minute. I feel a bit used and abused at the minute. With having all the work done i just feel like i am expected to do everything because i am at home. DH does loads when he is around, just he is not always around that much.
Also, sounds nasty that you have hurt yourself. Take care and i hope it heals quickly. Nothing worse than being off it and still having it all to do. Take care xxx0 -
Thanks you lovely ladies for your nice posts xxxx
DH was creeping all night but I gave him the cold shoulder till Friday - think the message got home. I am so, so cross about my knee, I did it running but am so embrassed that I'm so unfit I've told a few people I just stumbled off my shoes and it hurt it. I think I'm going to end up back at the doctors with it as I'm a week in and am having more swelling and pain - surely thats not right?? DH is treating us to a curry tonight as not had a takeaway for ages and there maybe a small celebration in the offering with his job
Hey ho. Went into town yesterday to return and a dress I brought on my few 'off' weeks but ended up exchanging it for a jacket instead. To be fair it was 75% off and I haven't got any jackets only cardigans or winter coats so a bit of a must have. Also got the boys loads out of the Debenhams sale (PJ's and tops), all at least 75% off which made it cheaper than Primark. That will come from the CHB payment I've not spent yet.
We have decided to sort out the playroom out as the walls in there are really awfully marked. Went and got some paint last week and a bargain reduced shelving unit to match the one already in there from Argos and today been to Ikea for storage. I havent been for so long but it was so expensive!!! I brought some really nice wall stickers from Home Bargains for £1.99, Ikea wanted £9.99 for the same! Plus stuff we have looked at before seemed so dear so only brought a few bits.
When we brought this house it came complete with fixings like carpets, lights and made to measure curtains and blinds so I've been loathe to change anything window-wise as its all such good quality but the playroom blind won't match the new colour in there and will look a bit daft. Went to B&Q for sandpaper earlier and picked up some curtains priced at £45 but reduced to £6 that will be ideal material to use to swap the material on the blind in there. Will unpick the coloured material and use the sewing machine to remake the blind up with the original fittings and linings. Also got the sewing machine out last week and recovered the boys little chair from ruined cream to leftover bargain B&Q curtains, turned out quite well for a first try at something like that
On DFW front I had a NSD on Friday, want one tomorrow too and really want to get back into surveys and stuff this week.Trying to do one positive thing (however how small) per day to be mortgage free/reduced and be frugal but still enjoy life!Debt LBM Feb 2010 = £7841.97/ now £0, MFW 2011 = £9k in savings
