anniestar..............Slugs yurk  we used to have that problem in the old house I even found on on a milk bottle in the fridge eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek:eek:
Tried finding out how they were getting in and discovered that they were under the back door it wasn't fitted properly but we had three steps from the back door to the garden so they were determined little !!!!!!s
I used to leave saucers of beer out to see if I could get them at night and it was quite successful but the best solution is to try to trace where they are getting in and fill the hole

We replaced The old door with a DG one and it seemed to do the trick.

Just had a fenzied 90 minutes of hoovering, dusting, changed bed and put dirty stuff in WM to be hung out later (snow is gone and it's lovely sunshine and warm now!)

Coffee fairycakes turned out too well, already scoffed two with a coffee, so they are now bagged up and in freezer so I cant nibble on them the rest of the day!!

Now for a relax and watch the news and maybe a walk in the woods after lunch, if it stays warm that is.

Blue tits visiting nesting box, whitethroat singing it's heart out in the garden and house martins repairing last years nest in the eaves of the house. Happy days for a birder :)

Elona, I would reckon a couthie tuechtar is a couthie teuchtar regardless of boundries or country, wish there were more of them.... maybe even in government!! Now there is a thought "the couthie teuchter party" now to work out a manifesto.....:-)

Morning all, busy day today I have so far done a school run (2 DGS) then a college run (1 DGD) and just got back. I am sorting out genealogical bits at the moment .Tonight I am picking up 1 DGD and taking her for a Pizza and Pictures. She has parted company from boyfried (:)) I was never keen on him anyway,so I thought a little TLC and 'grannying' was in order.
She wants to see Robin Hood ?? I'm not bothered one way or t'other but she says its a new film out so I will go along with it.
I sat and watched it all unfolding last night on t.v. and I'm glad they seem to have got something sorted out at last.Lets hope they can get on with getting the economy back on track a bit now.All this uncertainty isn't good .Well time to get a wriggle on
have a good day everyone ,sunny here but very cold wind at the moment
    Cheers JackieO xx

    Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well. Aussielass, good to see you again, you need to post more. NPM I hope things are better with Noah at the moment. Diva, I hope you feel better soon, I hate being sick.

OS wise I used up the left over gammon last night and will do the same for the lamb shoulder tonight. Apart from that not a lot.

I'm cross with Dh for letting a huge black spider escape under our bed this morning, I shall be imagining crawling up the bed tonight.

Glad the Government's sorting itself out, it didn't seem right for GB to stay on.

    Have a good day.

    Afternoon peeps

didn`t manage to post yesterday as i got sidetracked but read the thread later.

Been a bit busy this morning, and have hoovered through, walked the houndies and done some bits and bobs in the garden. I`ve just picked some salad from the greenhouse for tea later, we shall be having lasagne with it so best of both worlds. The lasagne has been in the freezer for ages and i had forgotten about it so it needs using up.

Cleaned the kitchen again so its now sawdust free, bit of a mare yesterday when i walked in and found the fitter putting the cabinet handles on in the wrong place, both our faults really - i should have told him where i wanted them and he should have asked - 2 new doors have been ordered now, good job thats all he had fixed. I could probably fill the holes but it would drive me insane as they are so visible. I don`t intend on doing the kitchen again so it needs to be right first time.

Went out and unblocked a drain earlier and almost screamed :p blocking the drain was an enormous frog and a baby one too, i`ve done half a job and will finish it off when they have gone, don`t feel right about kicking them out and they crawled beneath the pipes anyway so must remember about it in a couple of weeks. The water is free flowing now so thats what really matters.
The frogs can hop out at night and rid the garden of slugs and snails :D

Morwenna - You look gorgeous, you make a lovely couple!

Right best hop in the shower as i`m off to the bad place soon :D

    Take care peeps

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

Back from the hospital, OH managed to have a dizzy whilst we were there, so delayed everyone who came after him!!

His medication has been increased and he has to wear support stockings....the consultant was not bothered about his rise in blood pressure, he said that as he was on medication to keep his P up it was to be expected and he did not ewant him to be treated for high BP. We have to go back in a couple of months. OH has to have an echocardiogram sometime in the next few weeks, just to check his heart as he has had a couple of episodes of AF.

We got home around 11.30, so a cuppa.....

I am off to quilting this afternoon.

Its very cold here again, I have lit the fire in the sitting room.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Afternoon all :D

:grouphug: to all those who want/need one.

I have done nothing OS this morning at all :o Yesterday I cooked a roast chicken, roast pots, veg lasagne and cauliflower cheese - the closest I've come so far today is eating some of the lasagne and cauliflower cheese for lunch :rotfl:

I've spent the morning trying to find funding for a course that I'm doing next month that costs £1,500 inc traveling accomodation  It's the only one of its type that I can find and I'm looking at the increase in debt as an investment in my future ... but still :eek::eek:

I haven't caught up on the thread but will do later - I've come back to bed now for a couple of hours lie down because my ears are still giving me grief although much better than yesterday

I will do some flying and sort the rubber chicken out while DD's are at their club this eve.

    Off for a snooze x
