Morning All ,
MSD - so long as you're ok. Just keep an eye on it so it doesn't sneakily get worse
Flutterby - JEALOUS!!!!! I love the Hairy Bikers!!! Seriously, I'm glad you had a great time.
So we now have a semblance of stability with the new coalition. Wonder how long this will last, I'm quite hopeful that things may change for the better, but I won't hold my breath!
Have got a relatively quiet day here today (famous last words ) so I'm off to meet my Aunt at lunch and show her my holiday pics. I was able to get some more family tree stuff done whilst we were in Whitby so she'll be very interested in that.
OS wise, I'm going to cook tuna pasta for tea tonight, but that's about it! I intend to spend a good hour or two of this evening soaking in the tub, so OS is limited
Have a lovely day, hugs to all in need/want xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,

Morning Peeps
Didn't manage to post yesterday was too busy - freezer stocktake and cupboard stock take, bathroom deep-clean, changing cupboards around and cleaning them.
But would you believe it:( everyone decided to visit- MIL and FIL,
DD's BF, Best Friend and then to top it off one of my sisters phew - It was a wonder that I got anything finished - but I did
Nothing much planned for today - just finished the last load of washing so that will go on the airer. So I am thinking of having a major baking day - that will please the kids:D
Stroppy, I saw on the forecast that you were gonna get some snow:eek:
Cold and frosty here - had to bring all my seedlings in last night - I am so glad I haven't planted them out into their beds yet brrrrrrr
I remember it being this cold in 1994 when DS was born - we had a cold snap and snow down here on the last BH Monday - I was in hospital at the time (12 weeks scepticemia)and I remember us all being given extra blankets:eek:
Diva hope you are looking after yourself and are on the mend.
Oh well off to make a start on the housework and then gonna start baking
Hope you all have good days (((((((((Hugs)))))))))) to all that need them x xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Morning,
This will be quick. Pack ups, dressed, cereal for breakfast, fall down the stairs, OK not too sore, w*rk.

The Hairy Bikers were amazing last night  They were so funny and interesting. It wsa a cross between a comedy show and cookery show. They only cooked 3 things; prawn curry, steak and vegetable linginue (sp?). All smelt delicious. They brought up members of the audience to eat the meals. They did the story of how they met, how they got into tv, loads of photos and clips from the early days and just loads and loads of funny stories!! I laughed for 2 and half hours straight!
That's so mean!!!
:rotfl: :rotfl:
Am glad someone got to see them!! We were told that it may not be possbile to reschedule

Morning All
Bright and sunny here again today, although showers are forecast for later this evening.
Morwenna the pics are fab and you looked lovely
Flutterby Glad you managed to get to see the Hairy Bikers last night - at last!
Not very much OS with me today; had the usual porridge for breakfast and will be having chicken salad for lunch. Thai red chicken curry for tea - we've never tried anything like this before (cooking or eating), so fingers crossed it tastes OK. Need to put a loaf in the BM tonight too.
Must do revision tonight - only 2 weeks until the exam and I'm nowhere near ready
Hope you all have a good day, ((hugs)) to those in need.

Gentle hug to Jayward and MSDiva and penny pincher and anyone else who could use one.
DD(16) has German oral exam today so very stressed - her big sister has been helping her practise yesterday and calmed her nerves a bit.
Made them both bacon buttie for breakfast and then DD(24) drove to school to drop her off (with DH supervising).
Two DDs and DH are now off doing driving practise so I am home waiting for a parcel delivery and word from solicitor to see if the house sale can go through on the 21st.
DH is frantically packing stuff in boxes while I try to keep out of the way.
Going to use BM for pizza dough for tonight as DD wants to make a thin crust spinach and mozzerella pizza.
As temp rental could finish suddenly have tried to convince DH to start thinking about a letter drop to houses in the area we like but he has the "English cringe gland!" and is dragging his feet about it.
If he says one more time "We should be in a strong position once we get this sale through!" - I may hit him . He needs to be clear sighted about what we want in a house and not just expect something to land in his lap.
Stroppy
The bench sounds lovely (I haven't heard the words "couthie" and "teuchter" for years and it really took me back.) I doubt Ayrshire counts as teuchter country somehow."This site is addictive!"

JackieG ouch! I hope you are ok. Take care-can't have my press officer hurting herself now can I ?
Morwenna WOW. You look totally stunning.:A:T
Am driving myself nuts with these darn cakes. Just can't decide what to do. Have made a wheetabix cake but have put some apricots in it and a banana loaf this morning. Will make a sultana and cherry cake and the coffee walnut cake shortly but other than that???????? Decided against the Manchester tart as need things that are easy to transport and not too "wet" IYSWIM (although I will be icing the coffee cake)
Mark is being as useful as a chocolate fireguard:D Just keeps saying anything will be fine:mad: he even said he could buy something from ASDA if I wanted:eek:
Ideas very gratefully received.
Diva your bluebells sound beautiful:A
Anyway had better get some more baking done:( I normally love baking but just can't decide what to do.
Had another HUGE slug in hte kitchen last night. Disgusting.
HUGS to all especially anyone poorly, feeling sad, or worried.
LadyGrim thinking of you.
Pen-Pin!! hope you are feeling better today.
Am still pinching myself about yesterdays events. Am so DELIGHTED that October is free now:j:j
