Many thanks OP.
I saw this on Martin's email today

Am having connection issues at the moment....
Went for the option of purchasing Avatar but keeps timing out when I use the "purchase" option after submitting the voucher code.
Actually, it's now showing that I've purchased it according to my account, even though I'm getting the error message.0 -
Attempted to buy Avatar at 12:35. Site was very slow. Entered voucher code, proceeded to purchase screen where it said 0p for the movie. Clicked purchase button and waited... it came back saying transaction could not be completed. Clicked purchase several more times and it came back saying site could not be contacted. Reloaded site and attempted to enter voucher code: "Sorry, that voucher isn't valid".
Update: reloaded site again, but option wasn't available to enter voucher code. This is because the purchase actually went through! Download now in progress...0 -
I don't think it's you, I think their servers are probably being hammered right nowSurfBowlSC wrote: »Am having connection issues at the moment....

Same here....different movie but same problem. As Martin suspected, their servers obviously can't cope with the traffic!0

I waited until 12:30, signed up with BlinkBox, chose my film, voucher was accepted no probs, but now I can't get through the final stage of purchase as it keeps saying my internet connection has timed out?! All other websites I'm on are fine! CON!
Update:
Ooh i stand corrected - clicked on Refresh and purchase went through - try it!

I gave up on Planet Earth & went for a movie instead. I got connection problems like other folk, but then in another browser I checked http://www.blinkbox.com/MyBlinkBox/VideoLibrary & it showed that it had gone through, so that might be worth trying.0

Bit annoying that there error message says "Oops! We could not contact the website, please check your internet connection".
No....you make sure you have enough bandwidth/server capacity before making such offers. It will just serve to frustrate people!0 -
I had this too - but then when I reloaded the page it showed up as purchased - downloading now so fingers crossed! I went for Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince as not seen that yet, was £9.99 so used the maximum freebie I could. Brilliant offer :beer:SurfBowlSC wrote: »Am having connection issues at the moment....

I had a message saying cannot connect to website, please check your internet connection.
I opened another window in the background, clicked on Avatar and it shows that I've already purchased. Will download when I get home......
Notable that you can only play the downloads on their software, so you cannot transfer it to an ipod or similar.
Not that I really care - figure that Avatar for £0.00 is a bargain and means I can delete my slightly dubiously obtained copy.0
