From this week's money saving email:
Urgent! 15,000 free £10 voucher codes for film/TV download site blinkbox
ALL Major New Releases - starts Wednesday 12:30PM
TV & Film streaming site blinkbox is offering 15,000 MoneySavers a free tenner's credit to try its service. To get the deal, just sign up at its site at or after 12:30PM on Wednesday 12 May, choose what you want to rent or download, and then enter the code BLINKBOX10 on the payment details page (click the link that says 'Got a voucher?' - you needn't put your card details in unless your order exceeds £10).
If you want this you'll need to be ready - the freebie codes are likely to sell out faster than last year's X-Factor hopefuls. Officially, the code expires at midnight on Friday 16 May, but it's very unlikely there'll be any left by then - and of course there's a chance the heavy traffic may cause its site problems.
I was wondering.............
Does anybody know whether you would need to download the film straight away if you sign up to this? I'll be at work when the offer is released (12.30pm) and would be able to sign up to it, but there would be no use downloading the film on my work PC because I won't be able to watch it there.

Well even if you have to buy it immediatley (which i believe you will its basically 15000 vouchers) you dont have to download it immediatley after purchase, you can buy it and download at home
it will save it into your video library

No. You can watch on or offline.
You register, then you purchase. And then you watch on or offline:
If you purchase a rental you can watch online, or download the whole film to watch later. For rentals the download will only play for 24 hours after you first start watching (so you can download and watch it a month later if you like - as long as its the first time).
If you buy the film (ie not a rental) you download it and watch it whenever you like, as often as you like.
The only downside I know of is that watching it on your pc or laptop screen can be clumsy - but if you wire this up to your TV it should be much better.
Note than downloads do not have to happen immediately after purchase - so buy and do the download later.
(And the downloads are a lot quicker (though still take 30-60 minutes for long films) with a wired connection rather than using wireless. So plug your laptop into the router to download - and leave it on overnight if necessary)0 -
if i use the code once to for instance rent a 2:99 movie then will i still be able to use the code again to buy a seperate 4:99 movie?0

They have some really interesting free movies on there too (amongst all the yuck ones) - fairly arty, like Distant Voices Still Lives, but good.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

so can i add 2 or 3 dvd's if their combined total comes under a tenner and still use the voucher code?0

no you can only use it onceReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0 -

wow im pretty surprised at how easy it was to 'buy' a film. Normally with these types of offers you spend ages trying to get the page to load and then having to refresh it because it crashes. I had no problems with this offer what so ever. Well done blinkbox!0

I keep trying to put this voucher towards Planet Earth (whole series £11.99) but I just get "Sorry, that voucher isn't valid with this title."0
