bollox. they're doing it cos they've got a whiff of power. cleggs list of negotiations was topped off with 'roles' and 'me'. how magnanimous.
Come off it now, you were happy for them to a deal with Labour earlier today.
You can't just round on them now just because they went for the option that was best for the country for stability.

None the less, Ninky is right.

libdems will be criticized either way. It wouldve been easier for them to sit in opposition, but instead theyre in government. For the sake of the economy, I hope the combination works - for me its an ok outcome.

I think labour wouldve done much better without Brown, and with at least some desire to stop borrowing crazy amounts of money.

Memo to LibDem Party from Nick Clegg:

Hi all. I've just read ninky's latest intelligent post on MSE and have to say, as the elected leader of this political party, I don't want my name to appear anywhere in the new coalition as I am definitely not entitled to any role at all.

I can't at the moment locate ninky's earlier post about how no Leader of New Labour should ever have a role in anything in future, but of course, there must've been one.
  • A lot of LibDem voters will flee - they voted yellow to block the Tories, not to prop them up in government.

Vince keep an eye on that Georgie Porgie, our finances are not in the best of shape as it is.

I'm actually quite optomistic about all this now. I think we'll see a strong Government that is more open than we're used to. I think Dave & Nick (yes, I think I know them well enough now) are the dynamic duo to 'sort it' ......

I'm excited and interested more than optimistic: on the optimism/pessimism scale I'd put myself hovering somewhere between neutral and skeptical.

What did Lib Dem supporters think was going to happen? Labour did not want to know and at least they have a referendum on AV and seats in the cabinet to show what they can do. If they had not gone with the Tories and another election was called their idea of a reforn to the voting system would have gone up in smoke as the Tories romped home
  • why don't these self-pitying lib dems form a new party?

how about the 'i was bullied at school' party :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
