Spoken to JC the company have advertised around 7 times since April and have had no complaints from any one who applied. As the company tell you up front about the money they are not doing anything wrong. You do not need a license for the job, only taxi drivers need one. So they have said it is an individual choice wether people decide to go for it. If anyone has any probs they want to know about it. They have given me the telephone number for JC in newcastle so i can speak to them about the latest advert placed if i want, it could be they are opening new offices there. Food for thought i guess now?
  • Anyone have any updates on this company or the jobs offered?
They are advertising in the Newcastle jobcentre again.

This is a major scam we have informed the police and as usual are not interested despite this being fraud.

the guy is an ex taxi driver. No Doubt definately a scam.

This leech is doing this on a huge scale and is stealing off honest people. as usual the police not interested and they are overworked lmao civil matter.

sunshaeen, after checking out several websites i have found that you DO need a licence to drive as a chauffuer. Also, if all the other applicants are due to start work on the 14th june, then at the moment they wont have anything to complain about.

    Hi,
I am reading the posts on Nationwide Chauffeur services in complete disbelief. My husband who is currently in employment has also been offered a position as a Chauffeur for this company, we have paid the £100 he has received his contract in the post (which we have signed and returned tonight) he has been given a start date of the 14th June.
Like you all the job sounds too good to be true.
unfortunatley my husband has handed in his notice at his current employer.
is this really a scam - how do we find out for sure?
Can anyone please help or advise where to go with this.
  • Surely the jobcentre should investigate the company if they are adverising the positions for them and encouraging people to apply.
The chauffering services are being advertised in several cities so is anyone actually working for them?
If you booked a car as a customer would you actually get one?

Also if the job could involve driving vulnerable adults or children, then a full CRB check would be required by law and due to the nature of the job I would say this was likely.
