I was a volume distributor, didnt recuit much other than for betterware as a co-ordinator. A wet day with kleeneze can wipe out your entire weeks profit shelling out replacing all those wet catalogues.
I made a promise to myself to quit kleeneze as soon as the cost of 50 catalogues reached £15.
Damn! BIG mistake, I should have quit much sooner!
They were £33 when I did it! Buying new books , buying the bags to go with them all eats into what little money is made, then there are all the extra costs and charges levied by the company.0 -
We had over 400 customers when we did Kleeneze. It also depends what you like, want , i do actually enjoying using brochures and servicing my customers admittedly not with Kleeneze but i find it fits in really well with me looking after the family and i know i'm available and flexible if i'm needed by the family.

400 customers is hardly anything is it really? 200 books twice a week will get those in a few months easily, the longer you do it the more you get.
The problem is they don't just keep on buying the stuff , and if they have some duff stuff they may not buy again, if they realise the stuff is cheaper elsewhere and say as much thats them gone too.
Kleeneze make out you can build a customer base and then it'll take a few mins to do and thats that - it's RUBBISH , you need to be building new customers ALL the time as the old ones get tired of the same old stuff. You need new books the minute they come out as after they have seen them a few times they tire of them. There are only so many knick knacks people want.
Eventually even the best customers grow tired of it and are reduced to a small sympathy order after a few months.0 -
Hi all
Let's keep things friendly and on topic so people who want to decide between the two can weight things up without having to wade through off topic posts.

We built our customer base of 400 in approx 8 months, we canvassed each road thoroughly before moving to the next one to keep the customer base a tight as we could and they were customers that either ordered every month or every other month with a handful that would order perhaps 3 x a year, any less than that we didn't bother with.
Yes we could have kept looking for more but we were quite happy with that having two small children at the time and did it in the evenings. We did the occasional blanket drop if people moved during the two years we did it and the extra income/cash flow through the household it generated really did help at the time.
Yes we did lose a few customers over the two years we did it, died or moved away.
When you build a good customer base - work the area properly when you just drop at customers its a lot less time consuming and more rewarding and you lose very few brochures then either.
The retail does work without a doubt BUT if its just retail people want to do and not get involved in the team building then why pay to join, for your brochures, training meetings, have to fight with other Distributors for customers when Betterware is free to join, brochures are free and you get given a territory.
It seems to be that perhaps those not suited to NM were wrongly drawn into the concept when they would have been better off just retailing with a Company like Betterware. Again its back to finding out what the person wants when they join.
DebbieWe love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!0 -

You only ever post on here Pat many of us know your reasons. If you were a genuine user you would just sit he most of day waiting for some one to post, you would also contribute to other parts of the forum. The fact you dont makes us believe you have other intentions like recruiting0

Can I ask how I'm recruiting? I'm not talking about my business and I have no links.
