only if they have children. but afaik the lib dem proposal was for everyone (even the - shock horror - childless). if they are watering it down to only be for families/married people then that's just a con.
Well this was where the policy originated.

According to Cameron £17 billion  What was that about getting stuck into that deficit
Sorry guys - we had that argument last Thursday. Anyway, the emergency budget should be interesting, although after this shambles can you imagine how long it will take to reach agreement on it? Should be ready by May 2014 I reckon.0 -

the lib dems are founded on breakaway factions. shirley williams et al. not known for towing the party line.

Exocet, I hope you feel a little better this evening.
I have to confess, I think it was all rather exciting and interesting. I think it would have been really interesting to see a multiparty coalition to see how the Brits handle it...whether we are stoic and progressive, or drama laden and indecisive.
I confess also to be excited by all this voting system stuff. I'm just not convinced, or sure I fully understand the different proposals, maybe there is something I don't get that would convince me to one being a near perfect solution.
The thing that always wrries me is not the fairness of representation, its hat happens when we need to move fast, in times of crisis or when speed and ability to be decisive is important. .0 -
Well, I had a very interesting evening in the thick of it.
I won't mention a slightly embarrassing encounter with Michael Crick.Politics is not the art of the possible. It consists of choosing between the disastrous and the unpalatable. J. K. Galbraith0
