External TV Cable Y Spliter

Without doubt it is the best option0

Basically one cable runs from the aerial to the TV via a power supply that powers the amp. Then depending on the number of outlets you can run other cables off this to other sets.

How much signal if any would i lose if i connected the aerial cable direct in to the aerial junction box alongside the other aerial cable and used no Y spliter
You'd ppossibly lose all usable signal to both tvs. You can't just join TV aerial leads together, the high frequency signals don't behave like 'ordinary' electricity.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

Personally I would use a masthead amp0

Why would you add 10-20db to an unknown signal strength and S/N ?
Probably a total waste of money, you need another box plugged in and even if you do not saturate the tv now and the s/n is acceptable, what happens when they crank up the power come switchover ?0 -

Personally I would use a masthead amp as I have never had any problems, pre or post switchover.0 -
No shame in doing it wrong, that's what these forums are for.0
