Bitsy The snow isn't lying just flurries now and again. It's very strange weather up here at the moment one minute sunny with blue skies and the next hail stones or snow! Not sure what the forecast is for the rest of the week but hopefully no more snow

Good to hear from you Diva, hope you are feeling better - take it easy and get well soon.
JackieG - I've always found that drink is the way to go!!
Cranky - that's a big decision but if it's the one for you good luck to you!!
Take care Ladygrim.
Well, walked home again, why does my body get all sweaty and my hands are freezing?! Anyway I'm sure it must have done me good. Met my neighbours (they live about 100yds away!) on the way home and had a good laugh with them about my nearer neighbours who are so up themselves it nearly hurts to watch them.
Think I have decided that I don't want to sell the house anymore. It has been for sale for 6 weeks and I have had 1 viewer. I have started to quite enjoy the house now and haven't found anywhere else I would like to go anyway. I think I still have a love/hate relationship with the house since DH died.
Dinner was leftover pasta (from Saturday) with a cheese sauce on - that'll teach me to make so much!
Done the ironing so going to relax now. DD at hockey so have an hours peace.
Take care everyone.0 -
Evening All,
Candy, tut! I don't really drink you know, that is a sign of how bad things are.Meeting went allright. I am having Elderflower Cider courtesy of my lovely husband, and I really needed it. All quiet on the western front, dog is calm, OH is being nice and relaxed, and Glee is on the box. I have no more PTA pressure, and am blissful. I may make a habit of saying no from now on.

JackieG, hope your cider is better than DS2s hm rhubarb wine. He started it last July and I have been looking after it for him, racking it and getting it to clear, etc. We tried some on Saturday and it was the worst thing I have ever tasted. Wouldn't mind but there are 4 demijohns full!
Any suggestions anyone?0 -
BIN! No idea, could you filter it through a Brita the way you would with vodka? Erm no, probably not, forget that one. I'm sure there's a homebrew thread somewhere though. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Think it could be a good cleaner for the septic tank myself!
Glad you are feeling relaxed after your meeting.0 -
Could you put it in pretty bottles, label it as wine vinegar and give it as presents?
Use it as a marinade to tenderise meat, fish etc?"This site is addictive!"

Late one from me today - not long back from WW, lost another 2lbs. That's 7.5 so far, not bad for two weeks.
Diva - good to see you back and hopefully on the mend.
Kezlou - hope the driving test went/goes OK. I remember mine like it was yesterday, well worth all the stress once you pass.
FLutterby - bas news about the Hairy Bikers but fingers crossed for tomorrow. I've got their latest book offering from the book man at work. Some scrummy looking things in there
Topsyturphy - that's a great idea for the champagne - and at half price too! Not long to go now, how exciting!
OS today has consisted mainly of cleaning the nooks and crannies in the bay window of the bedroom. God bless Stardrops! And I managed to tip 3 large bags of...well, just stuff really... Gave the bedrooms a much needed hoover too. Had to empty the Dyson twice - eek!:o And did the bathroom and loo :cool: well spent day off work.
Have just had a lovely chicken and veg hotpot courtesy of DH and the Good Housekeeping recipe bookand am stuffed now.
Hope you all enjoy what's left of the evening.
