Ooh, thanks for the ideas, I like the sound of Stand By Me0 -
Flutterby, check with the venue - we were supposed to see them last night but one of them was stuck in Germany..... I'm still sulking!
 you are right floss it's been cancelledbut rescheduled for tomorrow night. i'm gutted but at least we can see it tomorrow finger's crossed!
To be honest I'm kinda glad in one way cos I'm exhausted from work. One of my work kids was an absolute nightmare todayWhen he started with us 12 weeks ago, he had really poor attention span, very low tolerance, short fuse, he would hit and break things. But over the 12 weeks he has changed so much and become such a nice lad to be with. Whenever something got to him lately he would just ask if he could take 5 rather than act up. But today, my god, I've never wanted to throttle someone so much in my life!! He was the same as he was in the first few weeks. Breaking pens, punching the wall, kicking football indoors, throwing stuff. I tried to send him home but he wouldn't go, I couldn't throw him out either. Apparently he was already in a strop when the other kids met up with him before we started. I think it's a mixture of problems at home, worrying about what he is gonna do next (course finishes Friday), bit of bravado and showing off infront of my new staff member who was present and maybe hangover from weekend. Thankfully the rest of the group just ignored him and got on with the work. I told him not to come back after lunch, but he did and he mumbled an apology, and eventually got on with his work properly. But I'm drained from dealing with him.
I need to decide what to eat, as was meant to be having dinner out with my mum before the show tonight. I want something easy so may have jacket spud with HM chilli which is in the freezer. After I eat i am crashing on sofa and hopefully staying awake for Glee.
Have a good evening all

Evening All,
I'll be quick (I know, a huge change for me!). NO OS today. Big car is just a minor repair. Yay, mine not so much, trying to decide what to do. OH is making dinner, I am doing nothing. Thanks for the support re dog-gate, still not sure what's happening there. Got PiTA tonight (renamed PTA) and am resigning, as are the Secretary and Treasurer, so don't feel so bad. We all came to the decision independantly of one another, but it makes me feel better that I'm no the only one feeling that way. DHT at the school is a nightmare. Sad about it though, as I've really enjoyed it and am worried about who will take over (I suspect no one will), but I've had enough.
I will be drinking after that.
Glad to see you back DIva, you worried us there! Hugs to all worried and poorlies.

Good Evening,
MSD I hope you're on the road to recovery now. Your thoughts for us are appreciated!
I've been to work today and formally requested my career break. This house needs more time and attention than I currently have to give, as does the house elf of course. My friend has dismantled my downstairs toilet and sink, and is turning the room into a laundry room, so that when they dig the kitchen floor up I can still wash our clothes.
This is probably the least MSE thing I have ever done, but our friends brought home a kitchen brochure last week. I have decided to change my kitchen units seeing as they all have to be removed anyway when the kitchen floor is dug up.....my kitchen is going to my friends house as he will buy my new kitchen at trade prices and fit it for me for free. As I'm taking 5 years off work and will be spending a lot of time in the kitchen cooking from scratch, I thought I may as well have the units that I want. Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
Take care all of you0 -

Hi everyone - OS today has consisted of (as ever) Flylady tasks, and have made cheese'n'onion pie for our dins (cooking as I type) and apple crumble.
Can't hang about right now, as I'm in between tasks for getting dins together, but didn't want to not post iyswim.

Have been glued to the TV for the last hour watching Gordon's speech etc. Am betting whatever happens we'll be back at the polls within a year but I do wish they'd just made a ruddy decision
Anyway had HM chips and poached egg for tea as H didin't want what was on offer. Had Virgin Media engineer out as we thought we'd got a fault since we couldn't view 8 days worth of TV guide. Despite calls to customer services and an engineer coming out previously it turns out no one seems to know that an 8 day TV guide on screen is a perk of V+. So clearly no one seems to know what they are doing at Virgin then <rollseyes> So we either have to remember what day all our fave shows are or we bite the bullet and cough up the extra for V+.........not impressedI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Evening everyone
Weather here has been miserable today. Monday is my day off, so tried to get a few things sorted for my wedding on 16 July. The time is just flying by and I just feel so disorganised. I will also be giving up my job and moving house too after the honeymoon, so lots to do yet.
5 of my items on ebay are being watched, 1 item by 2 people so may make a little bit hopefully. Got several bottles of Champagne at half price at Mr T today as where we are having the civil ceremony, you can take your own without corkage and have arranged to hire glasses from another supermarket as the staff there will set them out. Thanks to Floss and Diva for their suggestions for music, I like both so will have a think and another listen before I decide.
Lunch was hm lentil soup, dinner was leftover chicken in concocted tomato based sauce with other bits added with noodles, was very nice too.
Diva - Sorry to hear you have been back in hosp, hope you make a speedy recovery.
Essexgirl - Do you drive the lorries too?
Enjoy the rest of your evening. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.
