Morning all ,good to see you back in harness Diva hope you will soon be back to your old self again.
I just had a quote from my local garage to fix my bumper on my car which was scraped by a small wall leaping out and attacking it as I reversed onto my drive .A bit of a tight squeeeeeeze at times with on-street parking at a premium around where I live, and its an eye watering £300 plus VAT:mad::eek::mad: still it must be done so it goes in at the end of the month.
Time to pull my belt in even more I think. The sun at least has come out although its not very warm but a blowy day so I may get my nets down and give them a wash.I am staying away from the shops at the moment ,even more so now the garage quote has come in.But I do have lots of stuff in the freezer and cupboards full of bits and pieces.A good incentive to become inventive with my cooking for a few weeks .I know I have a huge stack of tinned stuff so it may possibly be a range of sardine and pilchard based meals.I will grow gills by June I think:D
DGS Jack got off on his school trip for a week on the Isle of Wight ,Mum was a bit teary, even though she still has four others at home .He was brilliant and not in the least bothered. The youngest Mikey was a grumpy soul this morning, he though as his brother was going off on holiday he too could have a break from school, still I reminded him that it was his birthday soon so he's got that to look forward to.
I hope everyone has a good monday and the washing dries for us all
Take care everyone

p.s. no sign of 'Basil' I think he's either flown off to another lady or been chomped on by the local moggy .Mrs Basil seems to be still in the tree though and I think the babies are hatched as there is an awful lot of noise down there.I leave bread and nuts at the bottom of the tree as she is still a bit nervous of leaving her babies. She does come down and pick bits up but not until I am indoors and out of sight I watch her feed from my back bedroom window as she can't see me through the nets0 -
Morning All
On our way back from Sandringham, should be home in around half an hour. It has been wet most of the way, but seems to have dried up now. Hope it holds off unil we have the 'van back in place.
Taking advantage of the T-mobile usb modem, from the grabbit/hotukdeals site, cost £10 but came with £10 credit, it has been very useful.
Will get the BM on when we get back, still food inthe fridge so will use that up before going shopping.
Lovely to see youback Diva, and H-J you made me tired just reading of your week. Hopefully ours will be a little less hectic. Will arrange for the remaining doors to be stripped, fire arriving Wedneday, need to order 3 new radiators, DS arriving home for long weekend on Thursday, MOT time for the car. Doesn't look like his GF can make it as she has a project to do, which could lead to a paid job at last. Fingers, toes and everything else crossed please.
Take care DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club

Hi everyone
Back from holiday (well back early hours yest but as we travelled overnight was too tired to post) Had an absolutely brilliant time, weather amazing. Have put some photos on facebook for whoever wants to see. It was lovely spending a week with my DD's we had so much fun and just laughed most of the week.
Back at work today unfortunately, has been hectic. Washing nearly caught up with, just load I put in this morning before work to hang out when I get in and cases can go back in the loft. Tea tonight is an easy one of bacon, sausage eggs etc then I will go shopping afterwards to get all fresh stuff in, DH did try to get some in but he is not very good at shopping on his own, we end up with mainly sweet stuff if he is left to his own devises!!!
Glad to hear you are on the mend Diva, I will try and catch up with the thread when I get some time to spare. But in case I have missed any birthdays - Happy Birthday, Hugs where appropriate and hope everyone is keeping well.

Afternoon.
Busy Monday as usual  Went to toddler group, dropped off at nursery and have dusted lounge, landing and DS's bed room. Have risked my neck to try and clean his windows using the scraper from my car - it has a rubberised bit one side - works a treat actually so might have saved myself a few bob as if I can use this I don't need to buy a proper one from Lakeland :money: Only downside to DS's bedroom windows is access as the two at the end don't release so cleaning the outside is very difficult. Still looks passable now so that's all that matters to me
Anyway I might make a few more museli muffins and some weetabix brownies if I pull my finger out.
Tea tonight will be baked bean hash and I think we'll have that with some salad - had a few leaves from my lettuce out the front on my sandwich lunchtime so will pick some more for later :T
Bloomin' cold here but at least it's dry (for now)
Floss - I walked down the aisle to Canon in D - it's beautiful music. We signed the register to Stand By Me and exited to Let There Be Love - all played by a string quartet. It was fab
Diva - sorry to hear you've had another hospital stay. Hope you're on the mend now.
lowesly - hmmmm Bugatti Veyron - not bad - not sure whether you'd be able to afford the petrol at those kinds of speedsNever been to Whitby but have alway fancied going.
csarina - Happy Birthday to your DD
Haribo - I think you'll need a week off just to recover from this week LOL!
Hugs to those that need them. Have a good afternoon OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Hugs to Diva and sorry she needed another op but glad things are getting sorted.
DH has taken two DDs to see relative's bungalow near Whitby and to get it valued by estate agent this afternoon. Also gives DD some more driving practice.
He phoned a removal company before he left to get a rough idea what it would cost to move contents of a four bed house. Bear in mind we are only moving across the road and it is rented empty property so not hanging around waiting for access etc for hours.
They estimated around £700 plus VAT!!!!
Have suggested he asks around for "a man with a van" to move heavy stuff like wardrobes, chests of drawers, beds etc and we can ferry over the smaller stuff in boxes over two or three days.
Making youngest dd either a rare convenience tea of scampi and chips- or tortillas, omelette etc. She can have whatever she fancies and then I need to go and get bread etc for the freezer.
Waiting in as DH might phone to let me know when they are likely to be home etc.
Surveyor due tomorrow at 9a.m. so we will be doing a quick tidy round later.

Well done on the new tops from old (sounds like Aladdin!);)
Hugs to all and see you later"This site is addictive!"

Afternoon everyone:wave:
Hope you're all having a great day.
haven't been on for a while, we were away in a caravan all last week. Had a fab time, kids loved it and weather was dry and quite warm all week.
Been busy today doing holiday washing and had to take OH to the airport as he has a trip offshore (badly need as he has only been away 2 weeks since Nov:eek:). Tidied up and booked car into get tyre changed (I have a slow puncture).
The only bad thing to happen was that I dropped my Slow cooker when I went to take it out of the car before we left:eek: So got to source a new one!
Have had snow and hailstones here today:eek:
Have a great rest of your day everyone
