Morning everybody, very grey and cold here.I am planning on doing some painting in the living room as we have decided to drop the price on the house to see if that makes a difference in selling it.Its been on the market so long that even though it was all freshly done then, some areas def need refreshing. So once I've been out with the dog ,I'll make a start, need to get something out of the freezer for tea that will be easy as I'll prob be shattered by this afternoon.

The bm is on but I'm running out of my fave country grain flour. My neighbour gave me a Sainsbugs voucher for double Nectar points if you spend £70,so I decided not to do my usual shop last week and last till Thursday. My points are totting up very nicely.

Diva, glad you are on the mend at last.

Redruby, on the laptop when its only a year old.I've been having probs with mine too,but thats about 3 years old now.It does get some hammer though.:o

Hope everyone is doing ok,have a good day.x

Bright sunny morning, but it feels cold, no real strength in the sun until after lunch.

Monday clean, I might give the bathroom an extra swipe as well.....OH is going to pot up some seedlings. We are forecast a frost tonight, so everything needs covered up.......we took hotties to bed again last night...bbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrr.

My youngest daughter is 42 today my goodness where has the time gone, it makes me feel really old. last week i bought some of the wrinkle cream from Aldi, can't wait to see if it works on my wrinkles, have not got many they are manly on my forehard, at the corner of my eyes and mouth. I must say since I started using their cream for mature skin my skin has improved, not nealr so dry and tight.

Egg, chips and beans tonight for supper.......I made a rgubarb and gosseberry crumble last night so we can have some of that for dessert, it will do another night at least.

    Morning peeps

dull, miserable, cold and raining here :( still the forecast was accurate so i can`t complain too much.

Got home from w*rk last night and took advantage of having a worktop in the kitchen :D I started off 4 demijohns of wine and bottled the parsnip wine which had been waiting to be done. I had a few "tastes" and ended up a bit squiffy as it is deceptively strong :D

I got the last of last years beetroot out of the garden and poped them in the large slowcooker and put the smaller one on too to make hm dogfood. I ate my tea then went back into the kitchen to wash up and realised that i had forgotten that the light doesn`t work AGAIN and had to leave it all until this morning  Quick cuppa and then i fell asleep on the sofa :o

Woke up this morning nice and early at 5am and portioned up the dog food for the freezer and skinned and sliced the beets, they are now in jars pickling - just waiting for the jars to pop and seal themselves. The slow cookers are scrubbed and put away and i pulled out the washer and dishwasher and cleaned behind them. The kitchen was sparkling clean and now the kitchen fitter is in there doing his thing so i will have some more scrubbing to do later.

I bleached the grouting on some of the bathroom tiles too, a small amount could do with another go (how do they get so bad?) but i shall go up there shortly and have a good clean. Then i shall start on our bedroom. DH is away with the houndies until later tonight so i shall take advantage and get as much done as poss before they are back.:D

Diva - Lovely to see you back.

Redruby - Hope the lappy is fixed and back with you soon.

Floss - Sorry to hear of your disappointment re the hairy bikers :(

    Ladygrim ((((HUGS))))

JackieGlasgow - Hope that you manage to sort something out re Coco and your SIL, been there done that with a friend. She wanted the dogs putting outside whilst she visited:( I told her that the dogs lived there and she didn`t so if she didn`t like it she shouldn`t visit! Not seen her since :D her loss - much easier for me though as it doesn`t involve littlies. I had 2 GSD`s at the time and they were lovely big fun dogs, very soft natured. Tarah used to adore kids and would play with them for hours on end, she had a big toybox and would fetch all the toys out to play with.

Must make a move or all my good intentions will go out the window :D

    Have a good day peeps.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    Morning!

Well its freezing up north, temperatures have dropped again and its raining.
Just dropped the boys at school and sent OH off to his CCN1.

I have to pop to the bank today to get some money out for my first ever driving lesson, i'm absolutely terrified. I'm a menace with a pram never mind a car, i mean today didn't start well with walking full force into the school fence with a scooter in my hand. Can't imagine me in a car:eek:. Lamposts here we come.

OS : -going to make some more bread in the BM, got food out for tea from the freezer, sort kitchen and make a start on the curtains.

Hugs to those who need them,PPin and lady Grim
Good to see you back Diva, glad your home now and able to get some res. Dont over do it!

    Morning folks
Diva - glad you're back with us
    Haribo - what a busy week:eek:
Sunny and bright here. It was quite warm yesterday and I was able to go out without my jacket:D
DH off to B$Q this morning to get cornice pieces to finish off the wall cabinets he put up in the kitchen- a double and a single with a bridging unit and all with glass doors. they look great. i wasn't keen on having wall units because our new kitchen is small and so am I:cool:. We have 2 windows on the other main wall but are on 4th floor so, although he has a lovely view of the park, being taller than me, I can see the tops of trees as the windows are higher up that in the livingroom. Anyway, my concession was glass fronts and they really look fab.

Off to library for some studying today then home for an easy tea of left over sausage casserole. Put yesterday's left overs potatoes through it last night and will add a tin of beans and that will be it in one dish.
Have a great day folks and (((hugs))) to those who would like one today

    Morning All I'm back :hello:,

Had a lovely week in Whitby with my DH! Am now rather sorry to be back though - very tempting to move up there it was, DH was trying to think of a way to make it less than 5 hours to home so we wouldn't be too far away from family but we were unable to come up with anything other than a totally straight private road and a Bugatti Veyron... ;):rotfl: It would probably still be an hour even then driving at top speed :D

Oh and I can't remember who asked, but yes there are still 199 steps leading to the abbey - I made DH count them :D

Sorry to hear you've been poorly MSD hopefully now you're on the mend.
V jealous Flutterby I love the Hairy Bikers!!!

Right OS today, have a mountain of ironing leftover from holiday washing but not sure if I'll get the chance tonight as I've got a driving lesson. Tea tonight is bubble and squeak, but am trying to lose a few pounds so need to think carefully about food over the next couple of weeks!

Have a nice day, hugs to all xx
