I'm off work as I didn't fancy trying to get to / from work today with all the 1001 road closures since the pope is in town. That and I still have 17 days (well 16 now!) holidays to take before the 23rd Dec! :rotfl: Trying to make today a useful day so...

    To do list...

    • Sort out box of paperwork in hall - in progress - not finished but almost there
    • [STRIKE]Find hospital appointment letter (hopefully in the above box :rotfl:)[/STRIKE] - yay found it :j
    • Work out how the h*** I get to this appointment - its in the evening (!!) in a town ~25 miles away and I don't drive.
    • 2 loads of washing - 1 load drying on pulley but 2nd will have to wait till I can declutter the boxes blocking my airer :o
    • 1 load of dishes in dishwasher AND empty it after! :p
    • [STRIKE]Do 30 mins declutter/clean/sort (and 20mins break after) until tea time (except at lunchtime)[/STRIKE] - done
    • Carry on reading MG's thread during breaks - up to page [STRIKE]79[/STRIKE] 81
    • Sort out clothes again into fits or too big piles - clothing rail sorted... massive ironing mountain and wardrobe still to go! :o
    • [STRIKE]Make new hole in my belt [/STRIKE]- done!
    • Make a list of clothes "need to buys"
    • Go skating
    • Practice 3-jumps at least 20 times while skating
    • Find out exactly what I need do to improve to pass my Skate UK grade 8
    • Get up courage to ask C about possibly coaching me
    • Try not to fall over with shock at the cost! :p
    • [STRIKE]Phone brother [/STRIKE]- done! He even answered it right away!
    • Find keys to parents house
    • Take in parents mail! :rotfl:
    • Find a home for some of the random rubbish /junk that accululates in my living room
    • Clear kitchen worksurfaces
    • Clean kitchen
    • Clean + sort out fridge
    • Make fridge bottom soup if necessary :rotfl:
    • Sweep + mop hall
    :eek::eek::eek::eek:

I've made a start this morning but loads still to do. :o

Sigh... time to get on with it!

    • [STRIKE]Go skating[/STRIKE] - yep great fun! :T
    • [STRIKE]Find out exactly what I need do to improve to pass my Skate UK grade 8[/STRIKE] - got tips to improve my continuous 3-turns

Got a bit side tracked on the other skating stuff after class. :o A few of the adults were watching a few of the uber flexible teens doing inside spread eagles so we had a go too! :) We tried Ina bauers too! I can do them... with all the grace of a turnip - and a turnip in pain at that! :p My inner thighs are killing me - skating doesn't half work the oddest muscles! :rotfl:

    *sigh*

I had an amazingly crappy weekend - I broke my wrist skating yesterday. :( Caught the toepick of my ice skate blades on my joggers and down I went landing on my left wrist, left bum cheek and right wrist in that order. I now have a broken left wrist, a sore bum (:rotfl:) and a thoroughly bashed but not broken right wrist. :( Joy... min of 4 weeks in a cast and no skating for 6weeks! :( My 1st fall since starting skating again and I did it in style *insert roll eyes smiley here* :p Apparently I'm person no 3 out of my Thursday class to have broken something!

Its great fun doing anything... it took me over 30 mins to get undressed for bed last night. Have you any idea how difficult it is to get out of a straight jacket like sports bra with no fully functioning, pain free arms! :rotfl:

Back at work tomorrow but I have no idea what exactly I'll be able to do there! :o :rotfl:

    Oh no!

I'm off into hospital on Wednesday so maybe we could meet for coffee while I'm off work and be invalids together. I promise to help you with your jacket - you're on your own for the bra :D

  • Sounds painful. You have been skating for a good while now with no injury, so i think you have done well. I fall every time and always end up with no use of an arm but thankfully never breaking anything. Last time i did it i was renting a room for 3 months from a work friend and i had to get her to brush and tie up my hair for me as i could use my arm but not raise it behind my head.

So, how did you get the bra off then? I think i would have opted for scissors.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. xx

One of my friends had an inner ear infection that she was unaware of and got up one morning, couldn't understand where the floor was and fell flat on her face, breaking her wrist.

She had to get her brother to help her get her bra on before she could go to the hospital :eek::eek:
