What about a learn to drive holiday,
might be able to combine with some fitness stuff as well.
A few places came up on a search.0 -
£5 a day when you are already quite frugal? Eeek.
Will the small savings approach work? swap x for y? Do you have anything worthy of ebaying? Am i remembering rightly that you do the jewellery? If so could you sell any pieces?
Do you need the gym membership? Can you pick up anything like an exercise bike or rowing machine you could have at home? That would be a lump to go towards your hols.
Well done on breaking below £43k.
Also, as you drop weight you will need other clothes which might not be cheap but i believe larger sizes sell well on ebay.0 -
hey taka - nice to see you here!

There are certainly a few things I should try to sell rather than clutter up my flat.
Yep I make silver jewellery but I haven't made much recently. Its definitely something I need to sort out and try to get the courage to start up a wee business. A family member has volunteered to set me up a website - I just need to decide what I want ... oh yes and come up with some designs! :rotfl:cha97michelle wrote: »Do you need the gym membership? I used to ice skate quite a bit as a child and I live close to an ice rink so I'm going to try going there once a week or so. (cost £5 - £6.50 a session, less if I get some skates) I went on Wednesday for the first time in about 5 years! (and about the 3rd time in a decade)! I can still skate forwards, backwards (sort of - very wobbly) and stop but thats about all I able to do.I'm off to the learn to skate session tomorrow to brush up a bit. I'm praying its got at least one or 2 adults going or I'll be in a class with a bunch of fearless 7 year olds! :rotfl: I've been off work this week so I went to a late afternoon session which was full of 5-10 year olds practising their jumps, spirals and spins. I felt really old when I realised that was me 20 odd years ago! Nowadays, not falling over is a major achievement! :rotfl:
The other option is to try and persuade someone to go to Zumba classes with me - it sounds so much fun and they are on in a couple of places I could get to at a reasonable time! (£4 a week)Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Well I managed the learn to skate session without major injuries!
I'm just not convinced I'll be able to walk tomorrow! My thighs, upper inside leg (what is that muscle called? - the one you stretch when you do lunges) and stomach are aching! :rotfl: Thankfully the class was about 40% adults so not too bad.
I lost another 4lbs this week too bringing my total weight lost since 1st May 17lbs! :j
Oh and to keep it MSE - I remembered to pick up a skating loyalty card (go to 9 sessions get one free) and I found 6p on the way home! :rotfl:Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Well done on the weight loss of 4lb. I will have to get back on track with my healthy eating as we have had 3 takeaways whilst we were moving house.
I would definiately recommend Zumba which is great fun and it is a good sort of exercise and you will certain burn up the calories for a small fee (we pay £4 and I am going back on thursday night).MFIT T2 Challenge - No 46
