I managed to be green on the MFiT2 chart this week. :j I do need to check whats up with the %'s though - my spreadsheet says I've paid off a higher % than the chart. Hmmmm... I've probably put the wrong thing in my spreadsheet as I know I changed the starting amount at the beginning of the challenge...
As of today my mortgage is £42,828.61. I'm so loving the fact that the £1000s numbers change so much more quickly if you overpay! :rotfl: I've only been OPing regularly as of this year and my 1st ever OP was the Independance day OP your mortgage challenge thing last year almost a year ago.I wonder if there'll be another thread this year?
Weight-wise another 2.25 lbs lost this weekbut increasing amounts of ££s being spent on fitness related stuff! So far this month...
Skating (£21.50), Hike shoes (£59.99... and that was buying a colour I don't like as much as it was £30 cheaper :money:) and a Fitness DVD (£1.26) Total = £82.75  We're only 16 days into June!
There is more to come though! To be spent...
Trainers = I need new trainers soonish as mine are ancient and not very springy and comfy anymore = £?? I think mine have "perished" since I last used them regularly years ago! Ooops!
Skating = £11 minimum (2x£5.50 for the learn to skate sessions). Add £5 or £5.50 each time if I go during the week too.
I also need to get up courage to tell my Mum I'm going skating again. She'll keel over with shock I think...But I need to find out if there are any skates in my size lurking in my parents loft I could kidnap!
Otherwise it looks like I'll need to find ~£92 to buy some proper figure skates! They aren't cheap... Sadly most of the cheaper ones on places like ebay aren't suitable for lessons just for general skating once in a blue moon and I have wide feet so can only fit in certain ones.
I am looking out for better 2nd hand ones on ebay though...
If I get some it'll save me between £1.20 and £1.70 a session for skate hire and be about a 1000 times more comfortable (once they are broken in). I may well ask for donations towards them for my birthday in a couple of months instead of random prezzies...Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Well I had a lovely sunny weekend!
Yesterday was especially good!
Weighed in ... and lost another 4lbs! :j Passed a nice milestone too!
Went Skating ... and passed my Learn to skate level 3! :j
I then headed up to my parents to see them and give my Dad his Father's day present. I spent half the afternoon sitting on a bench in their back garden enjoying the sun! Lovely! My Dad and Brother also noticed I'd lost weight too (they haven't seen me for a few weeks)!:j
I seem to be haemorrhaging (sp??) money at the moment though!I bought a new top on Thursday and have completely blown my food budget too - I have a yearly budget for this and I've now spend a fair bit of "July's" money too!
Oooops!
Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Hmm, long time no posting on ones own diary I think!
Get back 'er mrs!:rotfl:
I too am finding I'm spending money on fitness stuff, my hubby thinks it so funny! I did manage to get some great running/fitness trainers on one of ebays 'today special offers'. They were £17.99 instead of £54 on Amazon. They are a little funny to get used too, they fit like a sock more than a trainer, but are very supportive.

Ermmmm to summarise the last month... I OP'd £200 at the start of July and another £200 is in limbo somewhere between my bank account and my mortgage (for August's OP) and should hit my mortgage tomorrow maybe? I'm still firmly under £43k in fact I may be under £42k for a few days this month.
This month is my mortgage-versary (!!) I've been a mortgage holder for almost 16 years! (not the same mortgage) I feel old! (I was 18 when I got my 1st mortgage!) I want it gone by the day my 1st mortgage whould have ended so I have ...
... counts fingers...
9 years and 17 days left to meet that target! I am wee bit ahead of target but who know what'll happen jobwise when my funding runs out next summer.
Still not done anything about driving lessons... mainly as I seem to be spending all my pennies (or rather £££s) skating! I'm skating twice a week now and loving it! (although the sore muscles after 2hrs on the ice in odd positions are less welcome!) It feels so liberating concentrating on re-learning the various moves and managing to do elements I haven't done since I was a child and thought I'd never be able to do again!
It is fair to say I am nowhere near as flexible as I used to be though! :rotfl: It feels good re-discovering long underused muscles and having more energy in general too.
My lovely new skates are currently wandering around Edinburgh somewhere in a delivery van! :j I hope they fit... They are my early birthday present to myself.I'm hoping my family will club together for my birthday present to help pay for my next set of group lessons or entry to the rink as I'm now officially skint!
Weight loss continues - I've lost 2st 7.25lbs so far! :j :j :j :j I have also just ordered the dredded shred DVD!   :eek:flying_fresian wrote: »I didn't realise you had a diary missus - now update it more!

Ooooppps... Time for another update!
:rotfl:
Another £200 OP has hit my mortgage so I've calculated what it'll be for the next MFiT2 update... £41,798.76. :j Hopefully I should stay just under the £42k barrier by the end of the month so bye,bye the £42ks!:j
My skating addiction appears to be growing... I'm skating 3 times a week now!I lurrrrvvvveee my new boots! They make such a difference. I'm working on grade 8 now... and I tried my 1st 3 jump in about 20 years last week! Mine are far smaller and much more wobbly but it feels good to try them again.
I've got another 3 grades to pass before I need to do them competently so I have time to practice.
I need to find a private coach sometime soon too. There is one I get on well with (she has been taking some of the group lessons I've been going to for the last few months) but she mainly teaches ice dance (What torvill and dean used to do - like ballroom dancing on ice with set step patterns to follow) rather than freestyle (jumps and spins etc). Most adults don't do too much freestyle (especially jumping as it carries a higher risk of falling ) but I'd love to try it again as I used to love it. :happyhear I need to speak to her about it I guess - she may not have any time free at a time I can skate anyway.I most likely need to loose a lot more weight before I'm physically able to take off and get enough height to rotate more than 180degrees so maybe dance is the way to go initially anyway.
:rotfl:
I've now lost 3 stone 5.2lbs or just over a third of the weigh I need to loose since the beginning of May! :j Its is fab but has left me with a really odd assortment of clothes that currently fit me! :rotfl: Less capsule wardrobe... more random stuff that only goes with one other item (sort of)! Half of it seems to need ironing too... I hate ironing! Looks like I only kept the smarter clothes from when I was this size before! I'm more of a tshirt and jeans kinda gal! :rotfl:Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!
