I looked into it and emailed them to ask if they do credit checks. Apparently they do a bank reference instead which is less intrusive but similar.

Have spoke to my flatmate, he said he doesn't need the deposit to go travelling with and he trusts me to get it back to him if there's a battle for it.

Now.... to do it or not :rotfl:

I'd just carry on forwarding the letters as and when it is convenient to you...that's what we do. Sometimes it's the next day, sometimes it's the next week.

Does he pay for this post to be sent to him - i bloody well hope so he is seriously taking the mickey!!

I would doubt that he can end your tenancy for the reason that he hasn't been sent his mail. Surely he must have parent or other family members who he can ask to have his post sent there for any re-directions, as far as i would see it thats not your responsibility to ensure that he gets his mail.

If i were you i would contact your local council - mines certainly has an email address for private letting queries which have helped me out recently they know of your rights short of that go to citizens advice but i wouldn't think that was allowed.

Although it does speak volumes about him he must be a bit thick if he doesn't realise that the post sometimes doesn't go quite right and that it sometimes gets delayed.

    Good luck!!
