Mumto5 well done on dealing with the crisis at your house so well, and calling the ambulance and everything. Have you heard anything? Is the boy ok?

DS1 has come home and reported that the boy has to stay in for a week and that his parents didn't get home until 3am:eek:. The boys brother is in DS1's year and he asked for our phone number as his parents want to keep us informed with what is going on.

I'm beginning to think that I will never have anyone back for tea again. To be looking after someone's child when an accident happens makes you feel terrible. Much worse than when your own child is injured. It's like when you drive more carefully when you have a vunerable passenger in your car IYSWIM?

I took DD1 swimming and got the time wrong, I was half an hour late. It's a month today since Nan died and I'm really not coping very well.

I swent the afternoon cleaning out the fish tank. I wish I never started it is absolutely revolting. Algae infested water spilled all over my lounge carpet, it was like a tidal wave of green sludge. Goodnes only knows how I'm going to clean it. Suggestions welcomed!

  • Updating, I think I can cross a bit off my list - stuff for NCT sale is in the car.

    2. Start getting Ebay bits together
    3. Take the bloomin photos for said Ebay bits...
    4. List!
    5. Cost fence panels needed.
    6. Rework finances - can we shave anything a bit more?
    7. Flying fun, en famille preferably, well a girl can hope...

Rest will be a work in progress through the weekend I suspect....can I run away yet and set up the NCT sale please???? DH - please come home and do something with the kazoo playing DS monster, my head can't take much more, please....cold beer is in the fridge!

    (with a headache!)
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

I just need to dust and hoover for the Snug to be as finished as it can be. I still have half a walk in shower enclosure blocking most of the floor, and a window ledge full of boxed tiles that should get used this weekend but never mind.

Me to DS2 - why have you drawn all over your face with red marker pen?
DS2 - I didn't, they are Tiger scratches. He got my feet too.
me - the cat scratched you?
ds2 - no, a tiger escaped from the zoo, broke in while you were cleaning upstairs, I had to fight him off and he scratched my hands and my feet and then he ate all of the chocolate chip cookies
    me - :roll eyes:

ETA Moam - you have my sympathy, kazoos are awful

ETA2 - its a good job I genuinely don't like chocolate chop cookies or I would be quite cross with that Tiger......

Well I went out for a walk... and then caught the bus :o But I did go to the charity shop and get some bargains.... a brand new leather next handbag for £4 just because the tag on the zip was missing, and a completely unworn pair of nine west shoes for £9 - apparently they had only been put out ten minutes before ;)

Decluttered my bag of charity shop stuff from flings.

Went to sainsbugs as well, and just got home and realised I forgot to get the shandy I promised OH - ooops. Will pop up to the chippy and buy horrendously expensive can for him when he gets back :o
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

Laughing was fatal. He is now drawing a picture of said Tiger, and it does indeed have cookes all round its mouth.
    I loooovvee that album.
Me too, don't often listen to it these days - one of the few cd's I replaced after an uninsured break in many years ago. Loving Jinkys Bon Jovi too.

We had an e-mail from our MP on the ongoing CSA war today, can't fault the man for the standard of his support. Best bit is SS1 started a course this week that makes him eligible for CB and a csa claim against his mother again which will give an accurate figure for the lost arrears :D. Before anyone gets excited we pay her for SS2 in advance, and above csa rates .

Downstairs is now done, dusted and hoovered. It must be wine o'clock now?
