Now I was in the garden today, admiring my 6 lettuce plants, 2 strawberry plants, 6 toms, advising OH that "this time next year we'd be self-sufficient".
"yeah if we can live off tomatoes", says he of little faith.
And now I'm thinking, should I "do" rhubarb somewhere. and if so where? I ahve a garden only slightly bigger than a postage stamp so ALL advice is gratefully rec'd.:rotfl:If you have made someone laugh today... check your skirt isn't tucked into your knickers!!!:rotfl:SarahShattered wrote: »Mrs B you're a legend.0 -

Me too. I have been thinking about a greenhouse for last three years. Well, thinking about it vaguely before, but more seriously since I retired.Kazwookie...so envious of your greenhouse...I only have a little walk in plastic one ,yours looks great.
But there are only so many pennies in the purse

If you are the parent of an 11-12 year old boy, please note that they require a White X-box, a black yellow sofa that converts to a bed, a gaming chair, and I-Pod. Nothing else.
:rotfl::rotfl:Can confirm if you swap x-box for ps3 and yellow for red and that's my 12 year old to a tee... fat chance of him getting anything screen related in his bedroom though
Busy day today but I'm up and at 'em, dailies done already. Be back later.
Sorry you don't feel great Diva, thanks for the hugs Toots and please pass on my regards to Lady-L and Gran whichever flypeeps are in touch. xProud to have dealt with our debt. DFW Nerd 1474

Morning campers, I'm awake. I have actually been up and about since 6.15am as I woke up when DDog Jet jumped on me and then I found out that I couldn't hear so I got up as it was annoying me. Anyway the deafness has gone, it was just a bunged up ear thankfully.
Oooh just heard our Eurovision entry on Radio 2, it's actually quite nice but I'm not sure if it will win. Graham Norton was all over it..but then he would be as he is presenting the show. I expect that will be another evening glued to the t.v. as I do love watching the weird entries from different countries :rotfl:
My garden resembles a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds at the moment, I have loads of starlings and sparrows sitting on the grass/veg plot/bird feeders and bushes..eeeps!! Oooh just spotted Mr and Mrs Asbo Robin in amongst the bushes, I wonder why Mr Asbo hasn't done his usual trick of dive bombing the birds.. Maybe he is being all good and polite for his wife
Eeeps a thrush just flew out of my potato plot, hope he hasn't been having a go at the potato plants growing.
Have put a load of washing on the line and I now have the next load going around in the machine. I've washed up and S&S the kitchen, folded up the teatowels that were dumped in the wash basket after I brought them in yesterday evening, and paired DH's socks together and put them away in his drawer
I must need a life as I actually love kitchen daysI always think the kitchen one is the worst day.. I hate it!
I really enjoy cleaning mine
mummyof5 hope you are feeling better soon hon, hugs
I noticed you had returned Mrs B
"Hugs"
Piggers you lucky girl finding an OH that actually likes cleaning!! They are a rare species indeed. :rotfl:
Diva are you managing to eat little bits now? How about some soup or dry crackers? Oooh if you have time could I possibly have your rhubarb jam receipe, if you don't mind sharing it. I always wonder what to do with the glut of rhubarb at this time of year
How's Tris doing, you haven't mentioned him for a while. Is he okay?
Jinky hugs honey, hope you are doing alright.
Rose "hugs" sweetie - are you starting to feel semi human again? Hopefully the weather will help - I know it does me
I am going to start giving myself a little treat at weekends if I can go a whole week without self harming, maybe you could do something similar. If you have 3 or 4 days of feeling perky and then perhaps allow yourself a duvet day or something like that - does that make sense?
Piper I'm following your jam making - you are making me smile, thank you
PenPen it's good to see you posting again
Please don't go again hon
Longtermlurker, beware cooking gets addictive - before you know it you will be making as many cakes as Greenbee :rotfl:
Oooh Pollyskettle I might try the garlic tablets on my two dogs - although touch wood, fleas seem to have jumped ship for a couple of years since I only fleacomb the cats and dogs. I haven't found any sign of them yet, famous last words..lol
JoJo well done on passing your theory test hon
Kazwookie it always amazes me how the cats can find that bit of sunshine in the house
My wee cat Amy follows the sunshine around the house when it is sunny..she starts on the front bedroom windowsill then ends up on the back bedroom windowsill at the end of the day.
Toots hugs honey xx :A
LL passes on her love to everyone, she says she is still feeling ick though
Sexymouse if you are reading this, hugs and hope you feel better soon sweetie. LL mentioned you weren't feeling too good in her last text.
Will catch up with rest of thread later this morning, but need a cup of tea and then off to have a bath
edited to add - Eeeks I just managed to thank my own post..oooh how weird that was...
