Right - I need to get on with things! The only thing I managed to do yesterday was the ironing. I've got a busy (nice) day ahead as am picking up a friend at 11.30am then off to visit a friend from my old church who I haven't seen for well over a year, then off for lunch in the pub and then (if I can get an appointment) take dog to the vets to try to sort out her upset tummy.
So my plan before I go out is to hoover everything (including the sofa this time) get a wash done and hung out and get the downstairs bathroom and hall done. Then I'll see if I can get the rest done when I get back later. If I can manage to get my 'simple list' done this week I might go for the 'big girls lists' next week
DH had to pop round yesterday to pick up some tools so I gave him a bin bag with his clothes for ironing in! Will have to see him again today if I can get appointment for the dog as I'll need a lift. Don't really want to see him as seeing him yesterday messed with my head a bit

Right - I need a plan.
Mainly start sorting out what I need to pack - have just realised that the trousers I intended to take to change into for evenings are no longer in wardrobe - must have gone in the last 'that no longer fits' clearout.0 -
valli!!!!
Just asked DS1 and he says do not chuck the Sega - there's quite a nostalgia market for these vintage consoles. Check out ebay to see what they are going for.
Love, Serena x
ps can't pm you - box full!!
the intention is that it goes to my niece who is trying to get together enough money to fund a masters course...I shall have a word with her and see if she wants to e bay it or what....
judging by the receipts (early 90s *rolleyes* (and in the original bags) this stuff cost not far off £1000 when new  and has clearly come from a house of someone who cannot bear to throw stuff away as there are internet CDs (remember them? never opened...)
well they are now. Cases I shall reuse, paper recycled and discs go into my craft box because I know how to make CD hovercraft;) so more resources for work...
oh and there is some right carp too...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Hope you are all ok today.
Kids are all decluttered to school and I'm shattered. I hardly slept at all last night. I will stick the WM on and run round with the hoover then I may sleep for a wee while till the weans come in for lunch. After me paying for the 2 wee ones school uniforms the other day they came home yesterday with a letter to be filled in for a free polo shirt, they won't go wrong i suppose. That's so good of the council to provide 1 polo per child after closing the school down and the parents need to replace everything!
Divahoney meds taken.
ToochooseyI was needing a hug this morning.

Now I was in the garden today, admiring my 6 lettuce plants, 2 strawberry plants, 6 toms, advising OH that "this time next year we'd be self-sufficient".
"yeah if we can live off tomatoes", says he of little faith.
And now I'm thinking, should I "do" rhubarb somewhere. and if so where? I ahve a garden only slightly bigger than a postage stamp so ALL advice is gratefully rec'd.
Its dead simple to grow you plant it and that's it really. The only problem I can see you would have is that where you plant it will be taken up for the next 10 years or so. You'd have to think it out well unlike me. I planted aspargus crowns in the garden a couple of years back and now would like them somewhere else, never mind.Funfairs list of daily dreads

I had a momentus day yesterday. DS1 allowed me to take him to a new dentist who was excellent. DS1 allowed him to fill one of his many cavities. It has taken 3 years to get to this stage. We have 4 more appointments lined up and I hope that by September he will be able to start his orthodontic (sp) treatment.
DS2 had a friend round, friend had an accident and we had to call an ambulance. I was very calm during the crisis but as soon as the ambulance left I shook like the proverbial leaf. This boy has never been here before, I've never met his parents before either. Senior school is so very different from pimary school when you know who everyone is. I'm waiting to find out how they got on at the hospital.
Flying wise I've been very good this week. With the exception of the kids rooms yesterday I've very much completed the lists. My Jamie Oliver party was a good fun evening but some of the mum's didn't leave until 12.30. I was yawning and put all the wine and clutter away but they were still chatting away!
Sorry I've not had time to read the thread since Tuesday. Hugs/congratulations/birthday wishes to anyone I've missed. I will try to have a read when DD2 is at swimming today (pool has free wi-fi).0 -
_pale_ Hi all, posting from my sickbed, bad flu hit the house and we've all been in bed since Wednesday. Too sick to fly, but hopefully I'll be back in fine fettle for next week's thread.
