Have just been accused of being a facist on another thread. My crime? Suggesting the benefits system is streamlined into one department/single payment under the sole control of the claimant, with training available on a part time basis when kids are at school, linked to children's behaviour and attendance with compulsory child maintenance at 10% per child.
I suppose it is a little bit socialist, rather than throwing everyone to the lions, just making the system work better.
But I still don't think providing someone with driving lessons, degree level study or food hygiene classes for 12 - 20 hours a week depending on their child's age and their needs is really the same as confiscation of wealth and organising the odd pogrom here and there.
I had better stick with science - so more funding please!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

It may just be my mucky mind, but I did a classic double-take when I read that!:Dfunfairprincess wrote: »Plenty of interest in bed so I have someone coming over tomorrow to pick it up.
Time out from the recipe file to declutter an apple. I wanted a Birsay biscuit, but decided an apple would probably be better for me.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
unfortunately the budget does not allow funding for education, health, science, improved public services or self fulfilllment.. it only allows for extra padding on already overly stuffed coffers of those who are white, male, privately educated upper-middle class.. and the peasants may be as revolting as they please, we are Gods and cannot see them, nor do we acknowledge their existance!.. Though on occasion we may kick one or two!
