Hallooo.... I am still reading, its just I find it rather awkard to type and eat a bowl of cerals without getting milk on the keyboard. This is just one of my many truly awful habits.

LOL I will call that a skill

Having parents overseas must be as fabulous as it is awful. Being able to go and visit for a few weeks holiday is nothing compared to being able to pop round and see them as and when you feel the need. For all that I think the further my parents are away the closer I am to them, not least because they never turn up out of the blue when the house is a major disaster zone compared to its usual state of disarray.

You are so rigt I am so close to them but at the same time just too far away

Life goes on , and it is a good thing :) Take care

  • Anddddd here is update on my debts

    Capital One was£10,514.15 Now £10309
    M&S was £.4,366.05 now £4291
Virgin Money was £550.50 now £525
Maintenance Fee (Outstanding) Was £242 now £227
Alliance & Leicester over draft was £402.28 now £332.28

Gas & Electric; .Slight mistake in first calculation , I owed them 6 months @£90 , meaning the debt is £360 not £450 - I now set up the direct debit and will start paying from July

Halifax Credit Card £ 4,161.67 – 24.93 % interest Need to wait for statement to see what happened here...
HSBC Over draft £1393.02, Still the same , I paid about £25 but this is the interest , not touching actual debt

Personal Dept 1 £850 not paid_ reason please see https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/76953 (#420)
Personal Dept 2 approx £500 , it is written off my father ( for now I accept it but when I am able, I will give this back regardless what my father says - but at least I don't need to think about it just yet)

I cannot calculate when i will be totally free due to Halifax and HSBC issues but still future is no so blink at te moment - well I estimate that the debt will be clear in 4 years, but this is still a maybe

  • Hurrey, I am off work today- although I have done couple of hours work this morning due to catch up at work... I am so greatful that I can work from home when I need to without going into office... It gives me so much flexibility - well at least another 6 months to 12 months anyway. Then here comes redundancy.

But I am not going to think about this now because today I am going to have a date with my son. We are going to science museum, sandwiches are packed, drinks are ready... Hopefuly his mood will be ok so we will enjoy the day...

It has been a very very long time that I had updated my diary... I was in two minds about this as well...Just abandon this and start a new one...Then Muffin74 sent me a message so I though ok, let’s carry on …

A lot happened since last time. For instance my ’’Not So Little Boy’’ is not living at home any more …It makes me feel so bad inside because this is my own decision… But then again, it is the right decision. Many sleepless nights, constant arguments, not having one minute to myself warn me out so much in the end that I did the impossible and asked, begged help from social services and I made sure I got the help. This is a long and horrible story so I won’t really go into it.

The result is enormous. ’’Not So Little Boy’’ seems to be really happy, because there is someone with him 24/7, unlike me . I give him little attention then what he needs. And trust me as an AS&ADHD child, he needs all I got and 100 times more…With holding a full time job and caring for him was just too hard. I admire people who can do it. I chose to dealt with life differently. ’’Not So Little Boy’’ now lives in a very big house, this is what he always wanted, he has a big bedroom, and double bed , he claims now that he always wanted a double bed …Their house is always full versus sad old me and him being alone all the time because I was always tired or working or looking after him.

I was having him every other day but since the day he hit me about four weeks ago. Then I told him if he cannot control his anger towards me, I will see him less. This was not blackmail; he must learn and AS kids can learn if you stick to what you say. Now, I only see him once during the week, we go to a group where we learn about strengthening our relationship together. Then I see him once during the weekend and we do something fun. So far, touch the wood this seems to be working, but we have a long process until many issues resolved and he can come back home…

And me, I am a different woman, I am happy. I mean, I am so grateful and happy…
Work is ok ish, still will get redundancy but I look at it as an opportunity. I will get a big pay out and I will be able to settle my debts. Although I know my job is going, I still have over a year to make any decisions about what I am going to do rest…

Financially, thank you all those people who helped me… I am with Pay Plan and they have been great so far, but it is early days… We will see how it goes, really the aim was to remove the hassle from my shoulders and I feel more optimistic now. Especially knowing I will definitely get redundancy and good compensation is a good boaster.

And I am also doing something that I dreamed off for years but I never had time to pursue it. I have a very good degree but I always wanted to top this up with a teaching qualification. Finally back to college, studying evenings … Hard work, but it will help me what I want to do when I get my redundancy…

For immediate finances, I have a lodger moving in next month that will bring £65 per week… I think I don’t have to pay tax until certain amount- I need to find out about that because I don’t want to get into trouble…

I carry on selling things on Gum Tree, but never get around doing car boat sales; I guess it is too late now because it is cold…

My dept is almost £1500 less which happened in 5 months , and on top I had to pay for emergencies almost about £400- This was when my cat was hit buy a car last month. No insurance!!!. I had to try to save him, poor little thing… It will be worth it if we could save him though but sadly died…I am still very upset about this. Ah I also paid £400 for my college course , still another £446 needs to be paid but this is budgeted.

    Ah guess what, I also started socializing…well a bit…
Saying that, I have a lovely friend coming tonight, we will have a meal and girly chat at home. I’d better get ready … A lot more to say , but later x
