  • Pattern wings are often a poor fit. Try and get Peugeot wings.

    What makes you say that?

    Are you psychic?

Damage is too high and wrong pattern for it to be another normal car as the other poster said it something with a stick out bumper. Likely lorry of some description

Noticed them too but need the right colour. Also found some on eBay painted to order for £70-£100

if it were me,i would rather get a Pug wing in the wrong colour and get it painted locally
getting one pre painted can lead to issues with colour match, plus as said pattern panels can be poor quality

the only 'lucky' thing is the bumper and headlight survived

What ever it was, they must of been coming from behind as it was a one way road!

Police came last night and took some details, told them about the private CCTV that was near by. They say they will make some enquires and get back to me if they find anything.

I've wiped the white powder stuff off and it's just a big dent with a couple of scratches, no cracked paint. The dent is not just one smooth dent though, like possibly some one has gone into it, pulled forward then gone back into it again? :(

Its unlikely you'll track down the motorist that did it so as for the insurance i wouldnt report it to them, i would go to your local car breakers (scrap yard) and get a wing from another 206 and get it resprayed independantly - that would cost you £20 or £30 for the panel and about £120 for the respray. Fit it yourself, its easy enough.

Through insurance they're going to say its £400 or so as it would be through the dealership.

Depends what your excess is and how many years no claims you have (and if you want to keep em)

By the way it looks like someone has reversed into it with a fairly high(ish) vehicle, i would be looking at all the white vans in and around your works area for red paint on the rear :)

Yeah that's what I'll most likely do and get a local body shop to paint and fit.

I'm not going to report in to insurance as it'll just shoot up my premiums at renewal too. Just going to do as you say and get a second hand panel resprayed. :)

Well...... Ok, I admit there's a little assumption in there, but old people are swines for hitting other cars and then driving off without so much as a note or apology. Im talking here about the one's that should have had their licences taken from them.
