Parked up today down a side street behind work and came back a few hours later to find this done to my car!

:mad::mad:

Anyone estimate the likely cost of repair to this?

Reported to police, they are coming round this evening.

What is it exactly, paint or something.

I hade mine scraped on the side bumber and down to the metal over
the back wheel arch. Took it for a quote - nearly dropped when they said £750
    The have to repaint.
Luckily i was closeby when it happened and a couple told me to check my
offside rear as they had seen the tractor and seed drill do it, I chased it up the road and caught him up so its going through his insurance. I just thank heavan that me and those people crossed paths at the same time.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

The white bits is like a powdery substance that has been left behind. Looks like I'll have to find a new wing then :(

you probably will need a new wing but you might be surprised at how cheap you can get one for. You might even get lucky and find a second hand one in the same colour and once you've done that a good local garage (or yourself if you feel confident) will be able to whip the old one off and replace it with a new one.

It looks to be quite a smooth dent actually and I can't see any broken paint other than a few scratches so it could be worthwhile giving it a wipe down to remove the powdery stuff and then trying to straighten it out from the inside. Probably wont work but if you need a new wing anyway then what harm can it do?

I'll wipe it off once the police have been round. There was a pub near by which I know has CCTV all round the building so I'm hoping I was in view of it.

That, me old mucka, looks exactly the same size/shape as a Transit bumper or skip bumper. Either way I very much doubt that they knew that they hit you as 206 wings are, as we all know, made from fairy dust! Seriously I would not even register it with the insurance as your shut lines all look fine. Just get one from a scrappers and bolt off/on. Probably £35 - 40 plus your time.

It looks a heck of a dent, but I once had a car with a 'smooth' dent, no paintwork damage. Had it removed using 'dentbuster' cost about £40 and they used some sort of tool to 'push out' the dent, couldn't see a trace of it afterwards.

£35 for 206 front wings on ebay. Very simple to fit too!

Noticed them too but need the right colour. Also found some on eBay painted to order for £70-£100

At least it looks like damage is only to the wing. Could have been much worse if the light and bumper were taken out too.
