fuming with google

in Techie Stuff
now instead of my old page which i liked, its giving me an extra panel at the right side, i dont like it, i didnt ask for it or change settings, it just came up like that, any idea how to get rid of it please

Why are you Fuming with Google?
It's their site, they can do what they want. Do you pay them for using it??
I don't like it either but although it changes the page layout, it is only slightly (mine too is on the left though, nothing changed on the right).0 -
Google have changed the layout of THEIR website. If you don't like it don't use it. There are lots of other search engines, you could try Bing for example.It's my problem, it's my problem

Can you suggest any search engines that have a layout as simple as Googles old one? Because if you can I'd be happy to use it, I haven't found one yet Bing also has a useless sidebar.
I've always used Google because it had the cleanest results page without any other clutter, now it doesn't.
I think that in many ways people do have a right to complain about it, after all Google makes a lot of money from its site and that's because it has so many users. At the very least they could let people choose between the old layout and the new one. I've not really got a problem with the new look but the layout is just untidy and too complicated in my opinion.0 -
The side bar is not useless.
The new Google is much better than the old one.0 -
