Does the passenger seat push forward? Is it possible to temporarily remove the driver seat, and put the passenger seat in it's place? Would that work?Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0

lot's of so-called safety 'what if's and 'yes but's'.
There is the well documented case of the FIAT Strada Abarth.
A 2 door, 4 seat car, which had fixed front seat headrests......so when the seat was tilted, it hit the roof, so couldn't effectively be tilted.
The main seating issue with MoT is the seat's security..ie is it loose on its mountings.....and does the backrest remain locked. No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -

VOSA will dictate what modifications you can or can't make, or what additional testing may be required as the result of any modifications. It would be a good idea to speak to them as well. I have always found them very helpful.
However, if you want to know if you what you have to tell the DVLA, then surely the DVLA would be the best people to ask.0 -

Anyone purchasing plates have to show their V5 form and another piece of id, such as a household bill. If this is not carried out, the law is being broken - and yes, I know you can buy them online from lord knows who - but that makes them illegal if the above has not been carried out.Genie

Only if the plates were bought, or the car first registered, after 1st September, 2001 IIRC.
I have car with number plates that I painted myself, It's perfectly legal if the car is old enough.0
