darn it just lost my whole post!!! How annoying!

What pain and I was witty and thoughful!!!

We went to the cinema last night and saw Kick A55. It was really funny but a bit too violent for me. When we got there realised my £1 cinema ticket had expired on 25/4 so we decided to pay full price (£8.40 each) but we got sweets + drink from Mr S (£4.68:eek:). Glad we went, although the guilt set in afterwards. No repy from dd as yet...

Ok the only thing I have left from my weekend list is hobnobs & finish ebay listings :j I also did a load of filing of paperwork that has been gathering for the last couple of months :j

So I will add a few things
    • [STRIKE]clean mil's birthday trough before going over for lunch[/STRIKE] she really liked it! I made a alpine trough :j
    • [STRIKE]get birthday card (it was her birthday a week ago :o)[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]get birthday card for colleague[/STRIKE]
    • hobnobs
    • [STRIKE]ebay listings[/STRIKE]
    • more repotting :j
    • [STRIKE]clean hallway carpet (I often spill coffee in the mornings! :o)[/STRIKE] 2 floors done, used stardrops OMG! :j
    • [STRIKE]touch up hallway walls with white paint (as above :o:o)[/STRIKE] don't need to do as the stardrops have cleaned it off!:j
    • [STRIKE]re-jig meal plan as I forgot to get the pork out of the freezer![/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]update spending diary[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]check bc[/STRIKE] erm 2 dds I do not recognise one for £16.80 & one for £16.99 will need to follow up on this tomorrow...
    • [STRIKE]join May NSD challenge[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]join weekly spend challenge[/STRIKE]

I know! I'm a complete saddo! :rotfl:Nearly fell over when he said £12 odds for 2 of us. Annoyed me more because it was only because I was being lazy yesterday that we didn't have time to make anything ourselves or even go via the shops. Schoolboy error! We only go about once a year but at least it'll give me an ebay target! :p

It's great that you're selling on all our dvds like that! Nice one.

This MSE business does make you a lot more organised, doesn't it?

Yeah I wish I could use my MSE head a bit more at work/study - was just thinking this yesterday. If I was more organised in my post grad work - I'd be finished already!!!! (like the guy in my office - doh!)

The dvd thing is now a good justification to be able to see movies we like - but not just buy them and shove them in a drawer - if they're more 'transient' then you sort of get use to the fact that you'll hopefully make the cost or most of them back.

Its like Martin is on the shoulder isnt it - do you need it (no!) do you want it (yeah) can you get it cheaper/better price or for free (yeah if I list it on Amazon after I buy it and watch it:rotfl:)

Its just about finding a system that works eh?

I only figured out how much money we spent of dvd's when I kept a spending diary and then fell over with the shock.
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Today hasn't started very DFW. I forgot to take out chicken from the freezer for chicken chasseur tonight  So i either swap with another meal but i really wanted to do roasties and yorkshires pudding etc and also need to use veg in the fridge

Or i buy some fresh chicken when i go out for my driving lesson and the frozen chicken will last for a meal in june mmmm i'll see what OH thinks

    Today i will

    decide on chicken
list a few ebay bits for free listing day

    tidy and clean house
early night to be bright as a button for work tomorrow!

Yesterday my Nan asked if i minded her paying for my wedding dress!! Bless her!!! So as it stands mums and MIL's donations should cover the holiday and ceremony (nearly) and nan is paying for dress

So OH and i need to get bridesmaids dresses, suits, wedding rings, photographer in cyprus and spending money. Also then the party when with come back which i think will be about £750 with buffet food. Oh also a cake but i am hoping my Dad might offer a little something. Would be great if he could cover even just the cake!

    • fill up on way home

    • make meal plan and shopping list ready for tommorow

Oh Picasso - well done for still doing pressies for this we just send a card!

I was thinking - a nice photo - in a frame? Or a digital photo collage of the years they were together on CD - or a powerpoint of things like this - events and things - which they can keep and print or something. Will cost you more time than money :)

Failing that something like a Malva sylvestris - Mallow Link here its a garden plant which is in the cotton plant family and is pretty - easy to grow and 'cheap' ish to buy one in a 2ltr pot. Or a nice rose - lots of them are called 'anniversary' etc just for that reason.

Or a packet of linum seeds or plants from the linen plant or a picture - Linum usitatissimum link here

Silk is too complicated involving worms and mulberry bushes I think.....? (laughs at self)

Sorry yes I really am geeky enough to know which plants grow cotton/linen and whats related to them - skulks off clearly MSc money well spent (?!).
