  • Wow you've all been so busy today - I'm feeling kinda guilty now, but I might stick on a batch of the tomato soup. I normally just throw anything into my slow cook withg veg stock - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't!

    Today I have:
    • had a lie in
    • checked online banking
    • went to hairdressers (not a NSD day for me then)
    • went to look at electric fires with parents (Dad bought lunch)
    • tea as per meal plan
staying in tonight and making template of possible fire (which was reduced) to make sure its going to be right before parting with my hard earned cash.

    Evening :j:j!!

You have all been SO busy today, and I have been a lazy slob :o

Sitting on my bum reading the paper most of the day, but I have:

Been shopping - had some vouchers from a new waitrose that has opened up a couple of miles away. I can't say I was that impressed. They had some very 'posh' things but not 'basics' like Thai curry paste. The assistant I asked didn't seem to realise that it is different from tomato paste and ready-prepared cook in curry sauces, which they did have, by the bucketload :(

I think I will use up the vouchers and then go back to Mr S which is just as good, cheaper and has everything you want!

HM meals, though not very exciting or exotic ones

    Walked doglets for free exercise

And that was it! Must do more tomorrow and stop being such a slob
  • Finished novel last night so off to the cupboard -I am sure I have some I haven't read yet!

Checked ebay - sold 7 items in total so that's good.
Checked quidco - tracked and I'm waiting for payments to go in
Checked onepoll - now up to £8.20
Checked dooyoo - just waiting for my points to validate then I have another Amazon voucher!
    Had dinner
    Sat and watched films.
Got addresses for ebayers to send their items to on Monday

Just sitting down to a nice cuppa having switched the iron off about half hour ago.....won't be long til bedtime I think, feeling quite sleepy now.

Pleased with progress today though. I'm way behind on lots of things around the house as have had a few health hiccups (sp?) over the last couple of months, but seemed to get a bit of my energy back today, so that's good :-)

Off to bootsale with DM in the morning, which I'm looking forward to and then back home to more ironing etc..ha ha!

    Morning everyone

Same story as yesterday from me... Definitely early to bed tonight for me:p

I'm still aiming for the same list as yesterday - trouble with wedding planning on a budget is that you need to check and double check and triple check that you're getting the best deal:rotfl:Takes sooooooooooooo long to make any decisions! My sister doesn't understand this at all ("well if you like it, just get it") and my DM is forever comparing it to other weddings. Fun, fun, fun...

Went to the pics last night, but didn't have time to make popcorn before I left so I am going to sell sumat on ebay to the tune of £6 (I must, I must, I must) to recoup the cost of a drink and popcorn combo deal! Craziness!!

    Happy Sunday!

    xx

Morning all - Beencounting goodluck at the bootsale - Lurleene love the image of little T with sonic screwdriver in hand zapping things

Everyone I hope you have a lovely sunday!

Sun streaming through windows here and a bit pink (sunburnt) from working outside yesterday - whoops!!

    Todays list

    Check banks
Check cc's put yesterdays Bday pressie from my mum on my CC - which I'll pay back into the card when the money clears
Go to new house with a load and assemble freecycle table etc
Cut up bits of shelves and drill bits to make the screws work in new holes and TRY make a window seat with old shelves - might only need to buy a bit of wood for the 'seat' bit. (I hope this works!)
See about wood for veggie/flower garden raised beds
Plant left over onions in the big bed in greenhouse at the old house
Rake in freezer and take some nice things out for tea if there are any
Check if any bread/milk left in it
Fill car up with stuff for moving
Move more leaf mould onto veggie garden (did 4 massive loads yesterday)
HC and hang up before we head to new house
Change settings on heating as its on for too long in the morning/night now
Do some work - had a night mare about work last night - not great.
Scrambled eggs and reduced dodgy lookign bread for breakfast (will toast ok)
Water plants and take some to house if room in car
    Give DS allowance money
Put petrol into car/fill up containers for big mower from a couple barrels we were given (well bought at a much barganious cheaper than normal cost) from a pal who'd accidentally fully filled their deisel car with petrol
Look out for more window boxes/trays rather than buy any for tomatoes inside
Do a meal plan to keep us right for the next week and save time
Use up old toiletries in old house and shift the bulk bought stuff to new house

I hope you're all good - sure there will be more but for just now that's more than enough today - got most things on my list done yesterday :)

Off for a cuppa and some brekkie (I don't know why I don't wake up this wideawake on work days!)
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

I hope you get the wedding bits sorted - slow and steady wins the race:D

I love the fact that you're thinking OK we spent this so we need to find an extra £6 for the popcorn etc its brilliant - its often how we tackle either treats or bigger expenses here :rotfl:

Puts it all into better perspective doesnt it? And you reminded me I need to pack up ebay plant sales and pray there isn't any more icelandic ash to delay our post (it all goes by air) and alot of last weeks post was delayed.

We've got a sneaky new system if we want to watch a new dvd - we'll go off and google the amazon price - work out if we buy it from our local Mr T (clubcard points) or on offer - can we 'make' back the price of the dvd by reselling on Amazon or make enough to cover 'rental' - so far its worked for us......................we only ever watch things once unless its a great film.

The cinema here is good but not as expensive as going to posh ones with all the temptations!

I know! I'm a complete saddo! :rotfl:Nearly fell over when he said £12 odds for 2 of us. Annoyed me more because it was only because I was being lazy yesterday that we didn't have time to make anything ourselves or even go via the shops. Schoolboy error! We only go about once a year but at least it'll give me an ebay target! :p

It's great that you're selling on all our dvds like that! Nice one.

This MSE business does make you a lot more organised, doesn't it?
