    My list for today:

    * have received RM survey envelope and made up postings already (I like to do the job when I open the envelope so I know they are ready for posting days)
    * go to bank and pay in a couple of cheques before they get lost
    * find out about making a mortgage overpayment
    * visit £1 shop to look for a stroller net to hang between the car seats for cheap storage
    * Aldi has teethers for £1 tomorrow, pop in today and see if they are out already as I need some bits for a nappy cake for the autumn.
    * visit tesco to use £6 off £40 MOC on shopping (hunt in handbag and find MOC first :embarasse)
    * STUDY. The main focus of my weekend is to get my failed work redone. Feedback on last week's work was that it is moving in the right direction but not there yet.

  • Ohh lots going on today for everyone!!
I was up easly this morning as had emergency call from parents last night ( they are in france at mo) saying dad hadn't transferred money into the right account so they needed 2000 punds putting into their account this morning ( they know I haven't got it) so had to go to brother in law for cash and then go to bank first thing.

Managed to bank 2 cheques of mine also this mroning - total £30 have put it in a seperate account to my 2 main ones and am thinking whether i shoudl leave it in there as beginnings of christmas savings or whether i should may it off loan.. with it being may already I'm startign to stress about christmas expenses - presents etc. I have £70 of john lewis vouchers i got for christmas which i will be using for presents for people although its not the best for money saving as most things are cheaper on line than in john lewis - i'll have to see if any cashback sites go to john lewis and then maybe order stuff online!!

Today am taking a bit pile of bedding back to mums house ( borrowed it the other week as had people staying) need to take it back to her house even though she' snot here as need the space.
OH has made a big hole in the wall falling into the door and the door handle went through the plasterboard. Looks a mess and the house is on the market ( had not one viewer in 8 months!!) so its not ideal but i guess until any one even looks at the hosue its not urgent.

Am also going to go right through freezer ( OH has agreed to help after i cried lastnight - seem to be doing that a lot in the last few weeks - need to get head sorted and in perspective)and cupboard and see what i can plan for this week before going shopping for the week. Am making bread now so fingers crossed it comes out ok.

Do some Hokey cokey - dry on airers as cold and threatening rain outside!!

Having chilli ( made and frzen last week) for tea - garlic bread for OH and rice fror me - Try to stick to SW today and tomorro!

Have lots of tins tuna and tins of sweetcorn so i guess could do pasta for lunches with this..

Will check in a bit later and see how far i've got x

hey nomorespending am feeling more together today (was close to the edge yesterday but a day off has given me some perspective - also have tidied whole house so that gives me a sense of zen -phew!)

    ok carrot and corridander soup:

    1 onion chopped
    2 cloves garlic chopped
carrots washed and cut into 2 1/2 cm pieces (just cut the stalk end off)
    1 stock cube
    corriander
coconut milk (its fine without. I haven't got any today but have made some from dissicated coconut - I did a search on the forum yesterday and found out how to)
    salt & pepper to taste

1.fry the onions & garlic until translusent
2.add carrots, put lid on saucespan and sweat for 5-8 mins (sorry I just throw it all together so don't have times/measurements - I don't think it really matters with soup!
    3. add stock (if using coconut milk then not too much water - you want it to cover the veg and look a bit watery as the liquid will reduce)
    4. cover and cook for 10 mins
    5. add half chopped corriander
    6. cook for another 5 mins.
    7. take off heat and add remaining corriander, seansoning.
    8. whizz in blender

    simple tom soup

    tins toms chopped
    onion & garlic sliced
    potato cubed
    carrot cubed
    peppers if you have them
any leftover veg that needs using up
    stock cube

    1. as above
    2. add veg, sweat for 5-8 mins
    3. add tin toms & stck
    4. season
    4. simmer for 15 mins
    5. whizz up in blender

    hope that helps x

OH not keen on tomato soup so is having some tinned soup from cupboard.
we have compiled a spread sheet of contents of freezer so very happy looks like things not so desperate as I thought - lots of ready meals i can take to work and heat in microwave at work and Oh is going to help sort out a meal plan for week. we need butter and toilet roll and things to go with what we've got in freezer but think we have enough for meals til friday and more bread than we thought!

Hi all, I am having my first day in in ages - I told OH I am absolutely not leaving the house til tonight as I really need to catch up with bits and bobs.

    DFW-wise today I:
    1) T has been watching Doctor Who on I-player. I went up in the loft and dug out all B's old Doctor Who things from when she was little and potty about it. Cue one enormously happy, sonic-screwdriver weilding little boy!

    2) Taken loaaads of photos of old clothes to list on Ebay this weekend, to take advantage of free listing.

    3) Advertised some old toys and a hoover on Netmums.

    4) Checked banking, quidco, did SC etc

    5) All meals from stores.

    6) LSD - only parking tonight hopefully. We are going to see Derren Brown tonight, can't wait. I got the tickets BOGOF through work and paid using a voucher my OH gave me for my bday, so a 'free' night out. :j

    See you tomorrow, L x

Morning ladies...I am working today and it's going to be a quiet one so expect regular updates from me today! :rotfl: Wow I'm the only one in the dealership and it's lovely and quiet! Will savour this until the salesmen get in.

    Today I must:-
    - Do 1x HC
    - Sort clean and dry HC
    - Keep house sort of clean
    - Do dollshouse roof with DM. Nearly there!
    - Clear all rubbish from DSD's room, why must men remove new clothes from packaging and not throw the rubbish away?! Although I will save the shoe box and tissue paper... :money:
    - Print WIP list and go through it sensibly if it's going to be quiet

    And DFW:-
    - [STRIKE]Put in weekly fuel and use £10 Mr T's voucher from valued opinions[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Transfer £10 saved from my fuel account to my spends account to make things look more healthy[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Update banking/spreadsheet with any new totals.[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Check credit report for change[/STRIKE]
    - Try and fill out snowballer accurately and SAVE IT THIS TIME!
    - [STRIKE]Stop in at Homebase and buy ANOTHER lock barrell as I have managed to superglue my new one. Get one with 4x keys this time instead of just 2, one for neighbour, one for me, one for OH and one for DM.[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Speak to friend about Cholderton Charlie's tomorrow, should go in one car and will take picnic![/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]2x ebay items ending today, the rest tomorrow, will keep an eye today[/STRIKE]

That's enough to be getting on with!
    Jx

    Ahhhh CBA!
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!
