View a user's profile, go to the "Statistics" tab, you can access the view thanks functionality there.
Oh I sound like an old grump, but I don't like that either it mean you need to change pages twice to read someone's thanked threads, and sometimes my connection is slow, and going bacc through pages is a PITA. This is a step backwards for me.
I also agree that, The following user thanked username: the username should be in bold, as shown here, as scrolling down you do glance up to check the PP's name. Sorry I have too much to say for myself today!:oIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0 -
I like the look and the colours, but PLEASE move the 'Like it. and 'Spam' away from the 'Thanks' Button. I've lost count of the number of times I've thanked a thread in error.
I like not having the 'email this page' on thread tools. It annoys me when I click it by mistake and am told I can't (even though I don't want to).
Can there be an easier way of coming back from subscribing to a thread than having to click the back button 4 times, please, that seems to take ages.42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot:hello: Good Luck everyone !:hello:0 -
I like it
Easier to scroll down and scan. I can see where one post ends and another begins rather than them all running into each other.
But, the one thing I don't like so much, is the lack of a line separating signatures. Hurts my head when a post continues into the signature, I'm that dumb I end up reading them with every post....
(and yes I know there is a small line, but I need it BIGGER)
And also new smilies would be nice, we could all play with them and just clutter threads with smilies.0 -
I really would like the user cp option back where it was, any chance MSE people?
If I was being particularly picky I find the blue used for the thanks, quote etc buttons a bit harsh and I would make the abuse button smaller (just a triangle again).
But generally I do like it :cool:A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Looks and feels great! BUT!
And imo its a big BUT - are we going to lose the 'hover' capability? Where you can hover over a thread title and see the first post without clicking?
I LOVE that aspect of the 'old' MSE forums!I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

I like it too, great job mse team. Only thing I don't like is the line seperating the message and a persons signiture its not long enough iynwim i would make it longer like on the old forum and maybe a bit thicker.

You need a GO button on the forum jump dropdown, as there is no way to get to the board without switching fora and then switching back when in a thread.
The page numbers need to be larger, as they are so small, they would be difficult for many to see, and the collision detection for selecting them is too hard to hit when operating a mouse/trackpad with dexterity difficulties.
The thanks line is too small.
Many MSE members are older or disabled and some could find such small buttons and the like very difficult to work with.
Make it slightly more accessible and it's fine!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
After using it for a few hours, I love it :j Very modern, very swish and much more suitable. I love the new 'user tools' button'... I think I will keep it
The only things I will suggest (and these may have already been sugested) are ~ The 'reply to thread' box is too large but as its still in testing I suppose this will sort itself. Also I feel the thread stats box is a little to large, for instance if someone posted thier SOA on the DFW forum (using the SOA tool) the text will be too large and push it all off centre iyswim. However if the SOA is posted below a paragraph of text it shouldn't be a problem, and I am sure I will get used to the size.
Keep up the good work forum/web team :beer:0 -
Very pretty format
thankyou. Two things that strike me. One is that since the line over the signature is short; it almost appears like it is part of the post, so I've been reading everyone's signatures too along with the post. The color of the accessories like quote and abuse buttons are a little too prominent, but then I suppose it would blend into the page once we get used to it.
