Thanks for the tip Penelope Penguin - I can't guarentee that the hob nob will make it all the way to you from South Wales, I may be peckish en route!

I'm on down the M4 so you could send one my way! :rotfl:

Another good day at work. Managed to ferry work kids in 2 cars so panic over. Work kids had a great day teaching the schoolkids. Drove past the garage where I 'd left the broken bus this afternoon, and it was still there so had to ring and shout at contract hire people! My boss let me go at 3.30 today which was lovely :D

Very glad it's Friday. I could quite happily go to bed now and sleep til tomorrow but I am off to watch the rugby in a bit. Won't be a late night though.

I'm having leftover pasta for tea now as I'm starved, and I don't want chips at the rugby.

    Have a good evening all

... Oh and doing some reading up on Dyslexia - DD has just been confirmed as having it this week - and have had some fab advice and support on the familes & relationships board...

How old is DD? DOn't forget that she will be entitled to extra support (laptop, broadband, software plus a book allowance coz they take longer to read them so can't borrow from library!) if she decides to go onto uni, and it may kick in for 6th form (but DS2 was only diagnosed at uni )

I must say kudos to Mr Clegg for doing the fair minded thing and looking to the party that received the most seats. I honestly thought he'd go running for Brown. I confess I am a floating voter (although NEVER Labour) but what put me off Lib Dem is the Euro - sorry for me it's a deal breaker. Anyway our Lib Dem MP has retained her seat unfortunately. She ran a campaign here knocking the Tory candidate for not being in the borough in 2005 but neglected to mention she had to resign from Dudley Council in 2003 for voting twice and was being reported to the National Standards Board. Hmmmmm not quite as squeaky clean as she makes out :(

Anyway enough of the election - been a busy day and I hear a beer calling me :o New mum came to see me this afternoon and it went well. Told her to go home and think about it and let me know what she decides that way she's not under pressure to say yes because it's face to face. Have done very little OS, spuds are prepped for chips for tea so that's something I guess :o

NPM - Hugs to you xx Please feel free to talk on here - you have a right to crack, I can only imagine the pressure you face and yourlove and devotion to Noah shines through in your posts xx

Annie - what will you do now the election is over? :rotfl:

Hope you tired lot get an early night ;) Oh and JackieG loving your comment about having so much fun in an empty room :rotfl:

PS. A-ha are coming to NEC for a farewell tour in November :T:T:T Mate wants to go (she was gutted when I went to see them in 2002) so off to look at ticket prices. Hope they're not too extortionate.

Well after weeding most of the front garden (and it was a horrible job) i need a lovely hot shower, unfortunately the water is still off as the kitchen man is still in there and i`m getting rather edgy :(

He`s hit snag after snag today and i don`t think that he`s properly thought things out. If i hadn`t intervened the sink base unit would have been in totally the wrong place to fit the other units in :(

Sistercas - Lend me the trolley when you have done your shopping and i shall repeatedly ram it into him

Hopefully i shall feel better later.

    NPM ((((HUGS))))

    Evening all,

Cold as a winter's day here....sun is starting to shine just now but not much heat in it I'm afraid.

SOMI....hope that the birthday is going well.

NPM...hugs, you are doing a great job.

Just spoken to DD2 and she says that there were lots of people not allowed to vote in her area (N5) because they were technically late...apparently there had been a queue there all day...

Hope that all you lunatics who were up late last night will get a good night's sleep to-night....our election counts take ages as we have proportional representation so there would never be much excitement the night of an election.

Not done very much to-day, took Kerry for a couple of short walks on lead...she hates the lead as she can normally run free provided the gate is closed, so will not 'perform' as she obviously needs to....

Dinner to-day was pork chop, leeks, onions, mixed beans and potatoes, slice of lemon cake afterwards....need to make another large cake over weekend as I think that there is only one left in freezer.

Nothing planned for weekend, need to do some decluttering of bedroom, normally have a few 'miscellaneous' shelves in wardrobe but they are now full so need to check and chuck as much as possible.

    Nice to see you PenPen.

Hugs to Ladygrim, Diva, PenPin and anyone else in need.

    Evening.

Stayed up half the night watching the results, need not have bothered as they were almost identical to the exit poll.

Tired now. Guests for supper. Fillet steak, Stilton creame sauce, mushrooms.... Eton mess etc.

More fishing tomorrow :D I am enjoying it now before my public sector pay freeze

    Evening all,

Well I failed - after a late night last night seeing Hairspray (which was brill) I got a lift to town and caught the bus home. I just couldn't do the walk today. Decided to watch some of the election when I got in and then got up early to see what had happened. Out count is the last one in as the area is so big and rural.

Have cleaned the kitchen this afternoon from top to bottom (forgot the window!) so am having a rest now. HM pizza for tea and will have to go shopping tomorrow as have friends coming over for dinner.

Have a good friday night all and best wishes to all in need.
