Good morning all I have eyes like two holes in the snow .Will be glad when its all sorted out re the election .Our local bloke got in with a huge majority but I'm not suprised as the other bloke only had about 240 majority last time.I bloke really is local as he went to school locally and lives in the area which is good and unlike the other chap he hopefully won't claim for a second house when his constituancy is only 38 miles from Westminster.
I hope life can get back to relative normality again and the sometimes hysterical pundits on t.v. can sink back into the woodwork for at least another five years.
I have the school run this morning and my history class this afternoon so life will go on in much the same way for me.Still no sign of my blackbird I feel sure he has ended up as a titbit for the local moggy who lives a couple of doors away.
oh well such is life I shall still put some stuff out for the birds as I have a feeling that his missus has got a clutch of little ones in the nest as there is a lot of squeeking and squawking going on in the tree at the bottom of my garden.
Hope everyone has a good day and catches up on their sleep.
    Cheers JackieO xx

Hi to all you OS'ers, sorry to barge in on your daily thread but I need to pick your brains please - am planning on making Twinks Hobnobs today, but need to know if I can use oats so simple original as the porridge oats? Sorry to be so daft but not sure if they are the same thing? I also have a box of supermarket own make ready oats?

    Thanks in anticipation

    Prophecy x

Hello and welcome, and yes you can use oats so simple, should work well xx

    SOMO1 :bdaycake:Have a great day xx

Well morning all, I see a few of you have been up all night :D, not me i'm afraid, was asleep in bed by 10.30 :rotfl:

I must confess I dont know a huge amount about politics, but it is all very tense this morning. Today should be interesting.

Off to work today, finish early so not too bad, I am then going to meet my dd in town for an hour, and will then come home, dd will follow later with her friend who is sleeping over.

OH is working late tonight, so i will make a chili and rice, so he can heat his up when he gets in.

I put a wash on the airer last night, hopefully that will be mainly dry by tonight, ready for the work clothes and school uniform.

OK better get on, have good days all xx

Just tyo add, do your oats have added sugar? If so, I'd reduce the sugar in your recipe - I find the original Twink recipe too sweet for our liking as it is :D Shove us one when they're cooked - I'll test them for you and I need to raise my blood sugar :o

Can't wait till we actually know who has won - prob Tories (Shudderrrrrrr)
The rich will get a lot richer now and the poor will be kicked in the gutter:mad:
I have lived under a couple of Tory governments including Ted Heath who gave us power cuts that didn't need to happen (What a Smug B*D he was and Thatcher - get rid of school milk and bring in poll tax..........Get my drift)

    Morning all

Another one who couldn't sleep, but in reverse, I woke up at 5am and have been awake ever since!

Well the sun is shining today so hopefully it will stay like that so my work kids can do their planned actviity day for schoolchildren outdoors. Need to go fill my car up as I'll be making 2 x 30mile trips for work in it today due to minibus being out of action! I'll claim it back but it's just a pain as it will put my budget out of whack for a week or two.

Happy birthday SOMO1 - hope you have a lovely day!

I'm meant to be going to the rugby tonight, it's the last match of the season but I really can't be bothered! I'm so tired and feel just a bit cr*p, but I will end up going cos I've got season ticket so have already paid for it.

    Have a good day all

Sunnyday it was saying on the tele that loads of people couldnt vote in Sheffield because the polling stations were so busy and people were queing for hours and then turned away at 10 pm- we went to vote and our station was really quiet
