Hi everyone,
I'm tired today, I stayed up as long as I could and then got up early. Our American guests have gone to London but my feet weren't up to it.
Our constituency hasn't declared yet - it's such a safe Tory seat that they don't bother counting overnight. Mind you the mP is quite good compared to many.
Not a lot of OS today, I'll put some beef in the SC for tomorrow's meal. We're having fish and chips tonight, we'll see how the guests like them.0 -
PenPen - lovely to see you. Really pleased to see you start the Daily.
Well...I am in shock - my old area (Waveney)has lost Bob Blizzard (Labour)!! Not only that, Great Yarmouth (where I worked) is (apparently) Conservative!!
First election living back in Scotland for me since.............ah yes, that T woman. No wonder they have no/ little support in Scotland. Remember introduction of Poll Tax in Scotland to see how it goes?
Ok, off to make yet another large mug of tea to calm self down.
Not much OS going on - have made poached eggs on toast but since the eggs came from hens that didn't belong to me, and the bread wasn't baked by me, I suppose that doesn't count.
Hope you are feeling a bit better today PenPin

Morning all,
Also shattered, fell asleep on the sofa watching the election.
TBH, I'm not surprised the Lib Dems lost Oxford West and Abingdon to the Tory candidate (it was a massively close call - less than 200 votes - I don't like either candidate at all) but I did expect and hope they'd take Oxford East from Labour and I'm really quite suprised they didn't. Giggling more than slightly that Jacqui Smith lost her seat though - so there is some justice after all. I'm also shocked the Greens got a seat, my brother reckoned it was a given though after all the campigning they'd done there. My home town remains Tory (not a suprise) but I was suprised they took a couple of the Medway towns consituencies from Labour.
I voted at 7.20 am. OH and I were the only people in the polling station other than the officers. He can't vote in the parlimentry elections, but can in the local elections. I find it pretty shocking that people are complaining they couldn't vote - they had all day to do it. In Germany, they'd have shut the doors at 6pm.
No OSiness today, other than forgetting to switch the slow cooker off! I'm too tired
I am going to a festival of Middle Eastern Dance this evening, if I can stay awake that is.
Penpin - nice to see you
jc - lol - the power of facebook!

Morning.
Well we have Nick Clegg again in our constituency...never changes.
I am shocked and disappointed that Conservatives didn`t get a majority:eek:. I still think David Cameron will be PM by some way.
Very tired and stressed today with DS:(. he has fought with us all morning, screaming, kicking etc being really foul:o. Eventually crying hysterically, we both cried all the way to school.....I no longer care if people see me crying:(. At school he said he was scared I wasnt going to come for him at 3pm:eek: so we had a chat about that...I can`t bear the thought of him sitting at school scared that I am not coming back.
His behaviour is awful at the moment particularly towards OH which makes me feel bad.
I usually just deal with it but sometimes it makes me crack and I feel like I can take no more.
Enough of my moaning.....off for a coffee to calm down:cool:0 -
Afternoon all.
Well, we voted last night, came home and had dins, took a phone call from an old friend of mine, wrote a couple of emails that Mr LW needed to do, and went down the pub. I'm so sick of all the election hootenanny (Sorry Anniestar

OS wise - Mr LW is doing Sausage Inna Bun for our lunch, then he's going to help with the Flylady list til he has to start work again. (Working from home today):A
When he finishes, we're off to town to spend the £5 Body SHop voucher from Sunday's paper.:)
Have a good day all. and Happy Birthday SOMO1.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Ugh I'm here, not quite sure if I am awake yet though. I went to bed at about 6.15ish this morning and I don't even remember hearing the 6.30 news. Woke up about 45 mins ago, spoke to DH to tell him I am awake..lol Am sitting here with a cold cup of tea and a very sleepy Ddog Scruffybear
Shall head off and have a shower etc in a min..should feel human then I think.
Am trying a new dish out tonight which involves mince and scones on top - nope it's not mince cobbler lol. Now have to try and remember which magazine I read the receipe in and then hunt it out, at least it will be in a choice of 3 as I am sure I read it at the beginning of this month

just back from the orthododntics , with both girls grumbling about aching teeth
going to drop them back at school and then pop to tesco , I am a bit grumpy ( dont know why) so i hope no-one gets in my way , otherwise i'm likely to flatten them with my trolley :cool:0 -
Good Afternoon. I am sat here with a face mask on watching the rest of the results. I had about 2 hours' sleep, I've been to school, collected my money, counted that, and the formes. Been to the Cash and Carry and Asda. Got a 90 wash box of Bold 2 in 1 from the C&C for £9. Bargainous. I missed the £5 box at Asda as I only shop there once a month. ooh Mark has just changed the channel and Doris Day is on, might just watch the rest of that.
I am soooo tired I feel like I'm hungover. Thanks to everyone who kept me entertained last night/this morning, most fun I've ever had in an empty room. :T
Candy will PM you later, but you could have told me that in the first place! HAve a lovely time with Mr Meerkat. Meant to ask, does that mean he has big buggy starey eyes? :rotfl:
Oh well Clegg is supporting the Tories, by the look of things.
Big Hugs.
