but what i was trying to get at was different religions ( ooo flip i might have opened that can now)
Well, since you opened it.......;)COOLTRIKERCHICK wrote: »as Britain is now classed as multi -cultural they could use that for being open on christmas day...
We could also use it, to campaign for shops to be closed on the days other religions celebrate holidays.COOLTRIKERCHICK wrote: »me personally without offending anyone... say these are British holidays etc and should remain British..
That's what I think too.0 -
Its all a matter of time and nothing we will say is going to change it.
Ireland has just begun to open up on days weve had for years - good Friday ect even though the natives where up in arms due to tradition.
Our local Spar stores have been open for years on Xmas day and yes your able to buy anything - so my guess its just a matter of due course over the coming times.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives.:j0 -

Really???? Im quite sure it is only imigrants that class our country as being multi cultural. My grandparents dont, my parents dont in fact neither do I."You can measure a man's character by the choices he makes under pressure"Sir Winston Churchill0 -

Its just a line politicians like to use to try and excuse themselves for the mess they have made running our fine country dont believe everything you hear on the news
Just because our great government makes change happen doesnt mean we have to welcome or indeed agree with it.
Anyhow back to Morrisons and xmas day which I for one think is ludicrous and hopefully whatever court is hearing the case will laugh them back out of the door, the masses of retail worker in this country whom mostly work for minimum wage have enough to deal with without work lotteries as to who gets lumbered working christmas day!
Sheer greed I hop it costs them an arm and a leg in legal fees!

Surely members of the public can OBJECT to the licence being granted/altered?
That's why they have to put the notices up - to give 'interested parties' a chance to object.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

About time someone challenged this religious garbage and allowed shops to open whenever, doesn't mean people have to shop, but those who do can. The most ridiculous closure is Easter Sunday0
