Slow Cooker Lid Broken.....eek

Is it round?
Pretty much any make of round glass saucepan lid will do the trick, provided it's the right size.
Oh, as long as it doesn't have a steam vent hole in it.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. That's a good suggestion from squeaky, but just one point:
I've got 2 slow-cookers, one is a Prestige Crock-Pot that I've had for 34 years, the other is a fairly new one.
The Crock-Pot actually has a vent hole in the lid, the new one doesn't - the old one cooks much better than the new one.

Blimey!
Well there ya go, try the lids from any pans you have around the place and see which one gives you the best results.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. I don't know if this will help, but I've often used a website called 'Curry's Partmaster' for spare parts. They sell all sorts.Mortgage Free as of 03/07/2017 :beer:0

I broke the lid off ours years ago and now I use one of the saucepan lids. Its not a perfect fit but if you cover it with foil first it seals all the gaps. Works a treat.0

I will try your suggestions of a normal lid & see how we go :T - not long till carboot season starts in earnest now anyway - never been anything I havent been able to find eventually at those lol :A - I'm useless at freecycle unfortunately:o - dont know why just cant seem to log on or use the site correctly
Still If I find a better one than I have now I might give it a try .. give away the base to someone else with a broken lid :rotfl: - it only hit my DS (20yr) olds leg & a glass - the glass survived! :rotfl: -ohh so did DS's leg BTW
I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0 -
If you can't find a perfectly fitting lid use some foil first to keep the steam in and then a nearly fitting lid. I've found that when I break a part off my slo-cooker, coffee maker etc it is often cheaper and quicker to pick up a whole new unit at a car boot or table top sale than source a replacement. I've no idea if anyone can help, but I've just broken the glass lid to my Prima 3.5 litre slow cooker. Doh!!
DH was very grumpy as apparently I'm very clumsy at the moment... any ideas how/where I can get hold of a replacement (can't really afford new one)?
I love my slow cooker and miss it terribly... I've seen a replacement lid for the Cookworks one on ebay - it looks identical to mine - does anyone know if they would fit? Cynical old me says that they probably all come out of the same factory, but would hate to get it and find it doesn't fit...
Help please!!!
Many thanks0 -
Can't help you with your specific enquiry, but this older thread may help
Can you contact Cookworks and ask for specific dimensions?

I had an old Tower SC. I broke the glass lid by accident. I was able to carry on using it by using a saucepan lid that fit. It didn't seem to affect the SC at all - just I couldn't see through it! But by this time I was comfortable enough with the SC not to be checking on it every 1/2 hour. I'd say go through all your saucepans and check the lids if they fit - if not measure the old glass lid and keep your eyes peeled at car boots and charity stores for one in the same diameter. No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0
