As for the bottom bit that is so wrong, saliva can transport many things hepatitis for one.

Any premeditated attack on anyone is deplorable regardless of race colour etc.

People would do better ignoring the BNP rather than sinking to this IMHO.

being strong is not all about physical strength. I used to be quite slight at school, yet I was seldom picked on because they knew I'd fight back, even if it meant I'd get my a-rse kicked. Far easier (and less embarrasing) for the bullies to find a more compliant victim.

Nothing mad in refusing to act like a victim, and nothing mad in standing up for yourself and others, even if you're afraid. Well, in my book anyway.

You are most probably right they were most probably looking for them because of some trouble earlier (something to do with fruit and swearing according to the news?)
They would have done better to walk away from them than to come over though, this is exactly the kind of thing the BNP want to happen.
The youths have now been charged for something that would have best dealt with by shouting "F off you racist f'ers" from over the road and not given them the time of day.
