I am fine thank you Jo but the weather here today has been horrible. Torrential rain on and off all day. How is your neck?
Saucy are you feeling any better?

  • That's good :) I spent the day with puppy, OH went out. It was quite nice.
Spain feels so close but so far away...will make sure I have internet access when we go over, though, so I can keep in touch! I'd miss you guys far too much otherwise.
    Kidneys are still bleeding...
    How are the ducks doing?
    Hi Rosie :)

its torrential here too Rosie but ducks are really and truly loving it. My neck is improved to a more bearable level which is a relief.
Saucy it must feel very surreal at the moment.

Sorry, nothing exciting to report on my end. Only news is that I am planning a car boot next weekend (if you could all do little sun dances for me that would be fab!)

Posted on Freegle earlier this week to see if anyone might have anything they would be willing to offload on me (perhaps a box of stuff they didn't have time to go through etc) and one lady kindly dropped off two bags of toys. Now, I'm not being ungreatful since she was very kind to give them to me, esp as they are for a car boot, but OMG! when I went through the bags the amount of rubbish that was in them - I was shocked. I mean odd shoes, broken toys, soft toys with 'I dread to think' all over them. Apparently she was going to take these to a charity shop  I spent some time going through and sorting out what could be sold, but I couldn't beleive someone would dump that on a charity shop when the folks there are volunteers (though I did see on Mary Queen of Shops on woman who worked in a charity shop say they have received bags with dirty nappies, soiled underwear and used sanitary towels!:mad:)

At least I will (hopefully) make a little cash out of the stuff I could use, but I really feel for those who have to sort through stuff like that (and worse) on a daily basis.

    Hay Jo, Saucy & Rosie...

    How are you guys today??

Jo - as august is nearly over and the kids are off school how about a fresh start for September? September shuffle???

Well, a bit of bad news here today. OH got a phone call at 5pm (on a Friday!!) telling him that the company are changing his company car from a 2ltr Avensis estate to a 1.3ltr Astra van. Not necessarily a bad thing, but he drives approx 2000 miles a week so an Astra Van really isn;t ideal. He thinks he is being pushed out, so a grumpy, fed up OH at the moment. I think the fact that the astra van is currently used by a non-managerial team member who wants OH's car (even though he doesn't even leave the office!) and OH's manager called him at 5pm on a Friday to tell him. Grrrr..... I guess he's looking for different work, which shouldn't be a problem in his industry as he has a very good reputation nationally but it would mean him working away.

Time to push PM a bit more me thinks.....
