Thanks everyone
Oh no Mambury, that really sucks. How did they get it through faster?! That seems so unfair!
Nixi, I love the new blog post. I'll definately be entering (if I'm allowed!) as soon as I've got five!
Skint, well done on the Christmas presents, I really need to get started on that or everyone will get Spanish oranges :rotfl: Sorry about the cake order, but the Jan one sounds good! Are wedding cakes the hardest to make?Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
"Are wedding cakes the hardest to make?"
they are actually just as easy as the novelty cakes to do, but both have different challenges,

Hi everyone - Nixi i've entered the comp - i hope that's ok
Mambury - can you not go on Amazon too? That's rubbish that someone got there first - is it cos of this board or had you mentioned it all privately? Seems odd that someone would just pip you to the post.
Wow Skint - you're so organised for Christmas, i always leave it all to the last minute - or even beyond! I think Saucy's got the right idea - go back to olden times with oranges and nuts in a stocking, that'd do nicely - with some brandy.Just £10,852.28p to go...

I made a wedding cake at school, but we got to design it ourselves so I guess it would have been less stressful! It was in our food tech exam. Was a bit odd! Also did cakes in home economics...I love baking, but I don't really do it anymore.
I'm thinking of doing Spanish hampers for OH's grandparents this year...hmm! I've never eaten oranges...I just get the feeling I won't like it. I might try one when we get there!Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -

wow a jam factory! that sounds cool. I once worked in a trifle factory but didn't do a very good job so i was shunned by the other workers. first i had to pack the frozen raspberries, 3 in each pot, but i failed and was demoted to the sponges. there must've been hundreds of sponge-less trifles in circulation after that.
Edit - sorry i went off track there!Just £10,852.28p to go...
