What about ringing round the salons to see if they need models Jo? Ours always seem to and it makes it so much cheaper.

lol course they would, they need as many people as they can get and all different hairstyles to practice. They'd be overseen by a more senior sylist/colourist or whoever so it should also be done well - tends to just take longer.

Yay! (please don't blame me if it goes horribly wrong and you end up with a blue rinse or no hair!) x

more bothered about them just laughing and turning me away.hehe.
although not sure it is blue rinse time quite yet.
funny I relished being 30 but really not liking this. think I was finally finding my way at 30 and coming out of some carp. whereas since kids my life has run away with me and now I find myself at 40 looking so completely different to 10 years ago. not adjusted too it at all.

What date is your birthday Jo? You're not on the ville's calendar! (You don't have to say if you don't want - just being nosy)
Have you got any plans for it? I remember my mum's 40th which was some time ago. My brother finished all the drinks sneakily (he was 13/14) and got drunk and was taken home. Then he fell asleep having locked us all out of the house for hours until eventually my step dad had to climb up a ladder and through the bathroom window. I hope you have a better experience than that!

not got any plans yet Em and not really got any budget. trying to find inspiration for a cheap celebration but feeling a bit carp as we seem to have not really kept up well with our friends for the last couple of years so seems a bit bad just to get back in touch for my birthday. not that I have no friends lol but just not in the same way I used to. or the ones that I see most often are not always the ones I really click with.
Have decided the word for my year from my birthday forwards and it is friendship.
am not trying to be negative about it - just honest.
