thanks joey/hhh, its horrible when you doubt yourself, capabilities whatever but no i will make a success of this, and distance myself from the negative "friends" - have one who says she made cakes before ( i have no idea if she did or not) but according to her i'll never make money at it, its not worth the time you spend etc, etc, thankful for here because everyone is positive and has unbiased advice, when we have our "we made 10K celebration" in the bahamas i'll make the cake!, no doubt we'll have merkins to wear on the beach, and who knows what else - who was making the homebrew?

skintbint - my mum used to do cakes all the time before opening a crafting shop. she made a lot of money every month from them so it is possible. Im talking about 5 years when she did it and was making around £500 to £1000 a month profit orders always coming in. Make loads of flyers and stick them up locally as well you may well pick up some business that way as well. My mum used to do a cake for the local football club who won a trophy and bcause everyone was happy with it, everyone used to ask her to make for them. Like she told me cost to her £30 business from there was 10 or 20 x that. Good luck and i think you will make a success of it.

Look forward to it Skint - just promise me it won't be a merkin cake. I'm afraid no matter how much I love cake, I just wouldn't be able to eat one of those :p

Sounds like a fantastic plan for the cake, minus the merkins! Think it was 2cats making the homebrew as I recall, Dandelion yum yum!

Right folks, I've got a cracker of a headache so I'm going to grab some sudafed in the absence of anything I'd prefer, and head for sleep.

Catch up with you all tomorrow, night night sleep tight x

skint keep baking i think we probably all have one of those friends or a family member who claims that they have tried this and that and its failed .i personally feel that the members of this thread will all suceed to some degree due to the support given from the members here as in the general belief on the thread that we can do this.bingo's departure has probably been the best thing that happened in the view of reverse psychology he said a thread like this could not work and yet on the face of the signatures ev1 has had some degree of sucess.
So keep going keep dribbling and visualise those cheques/paypal payments lol
So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x
