2cats, I love the journal idea and that is something I would love to get involved in!I am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0

They are good fun, munchki. Can be disappointing if someone disappears mid-circle with someone's book or if one goes missing in the post, but they are good. The themes make you think out of the box a bit and come up with new ideas. I've done some of my favourite work in circle journals, but then you give them to someone else and don't get to enjoy them!!0

many years ago I did something similar called friendship circle books, much the same in some respects and I used to love them and being involved in the groups. I would really enjoy getting invoved again.I am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0

giant jump for June managed it a little earlier after all!
OK as this challenge has been going on some of us have been discovering that 10k may not be what we are really after. that there are challenges in our lives and money may help us overcome them or achieve them but it is a side issue to what it is we really want in our lives.
That is really positive. yep I want 10k because that will mean I have more money available each month to live off as my debts would be reduced. however it is the kind of living I want rather than the money itself. so this challenge still works for me but it is about so much more and this thread has helped me out with some of that and working it out.
so my big jump for the week is about gaining clarity and vision about what we want. It is again linked to the law of attraction but you do not need to believe in that for the jump to be worthwhile.
Please read this blogpost and see this example and then designate time this week, maybe over a few days, to make your own vision board as a daily reminder of your values and what you really want to bring in to your life. you don't have to believ in manifesting the stuff on it, but use making it as a contemplative process for clarifying things for yourself and then keep it as a daily reminder of whats important to you.
you can even google for examples as people use many different ways and styles of doing them.
you can be as broad as just whole life ethos and as specific as particular business goals - the choice is yours.

They sound great 2cats, I would love to do something like that but lack of artistic skills would put me off? although with the right group of people I would give it a go. munchki were the friendship ones art based too? they sound lovely.

Jo, the friendship ones were not specifially art based on a theme. They were passed from person to person in the group and each person personalised a page or two (even the journals were handmade generally out of heavy card) and they left a personal message or thought or a piece of poetry, the thought being that when you sent the journal on to the next person they would do the same and then the person who got their completed journal back also took with them a piece or a bit of each persons heart etc with them. It was an amazing experience and so worthwhile.
I would be happy to start something like it if there were enough people sincerely interested in doing it with me. The group should not be huge, no more than 10 or 12 generally. Just a really nice way to share a bit of yourself with another so to speak. Usually the only cost is in making the journal and of course the posting of such.I am somebody. I am me. I like being me. I'm game, munchki, if you start something like that on here. I might not be able to resist putting a little artwork in it though0

sounds good Munchki - having read some threads on here lately trying to set up a moneysaving expert one may get the posts pulled as they remove posts that suggest sharing addresses even by PM. so may be a subject to discuss on the facebook group?? would be a nice way to build on friendships possibly.

ah yes, that's true. I'll wall-to-wall you, munchki.0

good thinking Jo, I had not thought of that! 2Cats that was the beauty of the friendship books, they could be whatever you felt would be special, they all had some sort of handmadeness to them and then usually a quote or thought or the like.
I think most of us are on FB so if we can get a group of 5-10 am happy to get things started hehhehe, wow am glad I came back tonight. funny how are idle chat turns into something nearly every single time. not exactly money making but sometimes it gives you a chance to take a break do something else which clears your head and opens it up for other things..........
gosh, I am in such a waffle mood tonight! Think I should sit on my hands so I cant speak heheheI am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0
