This is my first post in this thread, although i've been following it for a while. Today was my first day of the challenge and I spent a whoping £8 at a carboot this morning! I followed someone's advise and bought 3 law text books for £5 (i'm hoping to at least double my money on those), a management text book (which i've listed on amazon, and hope to get £23 once the fees get deducted!), Sharon Osbournes autobiography for 50p, Graham Nortons biography for 50p and £2 for what looks like a local council land Act from 1901. Not a bad start for the first day, still have £92 left and once i sell all my items i already have i'll have a tidy amount for the first week.
welcome!! And good luck with the sales.....trying_hard wrote: »Welcome Midwinter

Happy birthday TH!!! You kept that one quiet....
Busy day today... so far I have £27 worth of bids on stuff on ebay private ID with a vague possibilty of £200 if they all sell ( I very much doubt it though, its been a loooong time since that happened to me!) and £36 of sales on PM!!! MY best ever sales in one day! I am a very happy bunny.... if I can keep up this rate of growth in sales I will be extatic. BEing totally realistic this might be a blip, but I am enjoying the blip!! Brings me closer to getting my new stock....
How is everyone else??
Even... Sounds like you need some me time... Can OH take GDD off you hands for a few hours to let you have some time for yourself... get your hair cut, go for a swim.... something that only you can do away from everyone else....
Mabel - hows the veg?? Managed to sow some sweetcorn, carrots, beetroot and pumpkins this weekend. Probably a bit late but I should get something from them..... DS is insitant that he can grow mutant pumpkins.... It'll be fun watchin him try!!sealed pot challange #572!Garden fund - £0!!:D£0/£10k0 -
Good point! urrgghh turned my stomach I can tell you :-/ lol
Need a plan for tomorrow-got nothing to do and I think its going to rain so gardening is out. The plan to tweak the website is out the window as I've now done all I can do without paying someone to do it (which I cant afford.) Question is what can i do...I need to keep myself occupied so i'm not just sitting here thinking about cutting down on the tablets and thinking myself into being depressed :-/0 -
Good luck with the mutant pumpkins! I sowed sweetcorn yesterday-I already have tomatoes, potatoes (in a bag on decking),runner beans, broad beans, carrots, onions, peas and cucumber. Think I may have baby peas coming...or they could just be leaves in disguise...who knows! However I only have about 3 of each of those things when I expect you have about 3 acres of each lol. ooh I forgot my miraculous back to life raspberry cane and my strawberries :-)0
