Giant jump! (nicked from Weightwatchers lol)
There are two opposing types of motivation, which can be grouped under the headings, 'The Carrot', or, 'the Stick'. The former is when you are motivated by the goal you can see (or imagine) before you; the new car, the feeling of freedom when you've paid off a debt; the latter comes from the desire to rid yourself of something unpleasant; the feeling of being in debt, the worry of not being financially secure.
This week's Giant Jump involves thinking about these two aspects of motivation, and asking yourself;
1) What is your 'Stick'?
2) What is your 'Carrot'?
-and thinking about how you can use these to help you on your way to earning more money this week. You can share your two types of motivation with all the Dribblers by posting them, along with any ideas of how you can use them in a positive way, so that we can all discuss them and share different ideas and generally have a lovely time. Now get on with it, class.
-sorry I haven't been on, have had horrible black depression but it seems to have run its course; obviously the original theme of the carrot/stick thing was weight loss but I think it's appropriate; I think it'll work well if we share it on here toois that OK? xx
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0 -
thanks paula
hope your feeling better, I can think of lots of carrots and sticks lol0
