    The next Giant Jump!

Take Yourself out of Your Comfort Zone
Challenges make you discover things about yourself that you never really knew. They're what make the instrument stretch-what make you go beyond the norm.
    Cicely Tyson (1933-) American Actress

It is very easy to get stuck in a rut or let the mundane take over, so this week lets take ourselves outside of our comfort zone. This could be doing something personal or trying something new for the £10k challenge. The important thing isn’t what you do, but that you actually do something to expand yourself.

The reward of stepping out of your comfort zone is you feel alive and full of new energy. The more you step-out, the more comfortable and competent you become and the more energized and confident you will feel.

For example: Go to a new place or environment, put yourself in a new situation, venture out to meet and interact with different people you don’t know; go to a lecture, a networking meeting, travel, volunteer, attend a class, an event, try a new sport or activity, try a new marketing technique, embrace a new technology and social media, even try a new kind of food. Anything which you wouldn't normally do!

Proust said, “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.”

Our natural instinct is to not stray from our comfort zones - apparently (I have been doing some research!!) basically we are still functioning on old innate primate instincts that tell us to play it safe, stay with the herd and protect ourselves from possible danger. This was important at one time, but no longer serves us today.

In order to grow and develop you have to step outside your comfort zone into the global world we now live in.

As children we are programmed to grow and develop, but as adults we have the choice to stagnate or continue to learn. If you desire to change anything in your life; to create more joy, better health, and pursue your dreams, you have to step outside your comfort zone and continuously challenge yourself to new adventures so that you can learn and grow.

As you practice stepping out of your comfort zone you will find that you become bolder and courageous and want to try out new things. Try it in another domain; travel to an unfamiliar place, learn something you have been putting off, like ballroom dancing, or develop a new relationship with someone who takes you out of your comfort zone.
Find the Joy in Stepping out of your comfort zone
Acting on your dreams, desires, goals, and wishes will all make you move out of your comfort zone.

If you want to create the life you hope for, keep on practicing moving out of your comfort zone. Before you know it you will become captivated with the joy and feeling of accomplishment it brings to you.
A dream is your creative vision for your life in the future.

Glad you like it Jo. TY Paula for the research suggestion, it was thinking what to to google that came up with the idea and then I learnt loads by researching it!! Had fun doing it to AND it took me out of comfort zone as I had doubts about doing it and thought about dropping out but didn't want to let everyone down so I made myself get on with it and do it!! now just to complete it lol!

  • Hi All,

im still around just bevering away on the esellertools and our other tools - basically bevering away at the bigger picture projects within the business and making some quite big progress -web developer tools is going over to a new site management system I finished building about 5 hours ago in the next couple of days..

Basically I found it was nigh on impossible to manage in excess of 50 websites with 50+ different admin system,s remembering passwords etc. Also with the increase in traffic the server was getting slow and as such time had to be invested in a system which would allow better managemnet of all sites. The new system will allow me to manage all of these sites with time - however at the minute it will manage around 43 of these sites as well as all of the relevent ranking reports required and other techie features which should make me have to spend less time on each site - also allowing me to grow them once they are all migrated :D

Now all I need is an army of copywriters and the last bit finished to allow them to quote to write the content required by my company, accept them for the job and to pay them and 95% of the major work will be finished allowing me to focus on getting hte network ranked

Right off to bed I think, just had a look at the time, sat and watched two musicals tonight and just noticed it was late lol, but did have to come here and have a quick catchup on what I may have missed of course.

Thanks Munchki... I will be taking you up on that offer - just getting the copywriter system finsihed off over the next 2-3 days and then will be able to list all the pages I require for our network of websites..

or at least a preliminary list...
