hi folks hope you are all well- sorry been MIA bit of a family crisis - how far would you go to protect your family and kids if a crazed eastern european was hell bent on getting into your house at 3 in the morning and didnt understand the international language of GTF. think America has the right idea - cross my threshhold at your own risk! Nobody was hurt thankfully but he certainly got more than he bargained for from a 21 yro 5'2" 8 1/2 stone whirlin dervish of a scots woman protecting an 18month old bairn in full flight! just a pity the police dont see it that way.
however these things are sent to try us, back to the challenge well done everybody and we still have another 15 hrs to go - remember andd add any free listing fees if your ebaying today, been practising making traybakes yesterday - ask me to make a fancy cake - no problem ask for a traybake there may be a problem! have possibly another lead into the local council offices - lots of ladies there like their cupcakes but there is nowhere in the town that do them - can feel a freebie to the local office coming on along with some business cards, also know one girl there has been shown my website as she needs a wedding cake, and DS friends mum works there and was showing her (by the way Duck cake on website homepage- pictures taken outside at 6.15 on Friday morning!!!) Also in the middle of "selling my skills" for possibly another wedding cake. Am going to have a go at a cupcake tree ( plantpot, oasis ball on sticks with cupcakes secured with cocktail sticks and wrap the pot in tissue paper with a big bow!) Looks really effective and different just have to figure out what to weight the pot down with, have only come up with quick drying cement so far!
okay house like a tip, weather carp. lots to list on ebay, an ironing (again) that i need Bear Grylls to help be ascend. so will get of Fat A*se and move.skintbint x

Oh goodness Skint!!! I do hope you and the wee one are seriously ok and in answer to your question, there is nothing that I would not do to protect my children! Your right there are some things, not many however, that the americans do get right and I personally dont see anything wrong in protecting what is precious to me especially when you should not be in my home in the middle of the freaking night where you dont belong.
As for weighing your pots down, how about those glass stones put in the bottom of them or make little molds of cement slightly smaller then the pot so that you can take them out to wash etc? Just a suggestion of course!
Woke up to an almighty crack of thunder this morning, guess was not meant to have a lie in this morning. Do love a good thunderstorm and this one has been a doozy so far but looks like slowly fading away now, of course now that I am proper awake! No plans whatsoever today, might do a bit of stitching, do have couple things to list on the dreaded ebay but that is pretty much me done for the day. Doubt very seriously that the front door will even get unlocked today much less opened, just having one of those chill out days.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day today and is happy and well. xxI am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0 -

Hi Elly, nobody got hit - he turned on his heels when the wee mad scotswoman went at him "brandashing an offensive weapon" and there is the catch! police doing nothing about him(says he didnt understand - aye right but they understand the fekin benefit system - oh by the way brother in law is polish so am not xenophobic/racist whatever just pee'd off at language barrier being a bl0ody excuse everytime - hear it everyday you couldn't use that excuse if you dropped a geordie at the harbour in Aberdeen) just waiting to see if DN is going to be charged now, bloody nightmare!
good luck with the jewellery, no bootsale today?think i'll do £100 next week since i've not done too well this week although the leads should prove fruitful in the long runskintbint x

Skint, I totally agree with you, I mean really, did the language barrier confuse him at 3am that he was breaking into the wrong house?? Did your house speak to him in a language he did not understand or what? boggles the mind really how that can be used as a get out of jail free card. Pathetic excuse and really think sometimes that politically correct has gotten way out of control!I am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0
