Jo, I hope your son is okay, and feeling much better soon, bless him. I'll have my fingers crossed!
Toots, I'm on my first year. Completed all coursework (with a distinction! Very proud) but the uni hasn't let me sit exams due to my disabilities. They don't want me on site, pretty much. Have to sit the exams to progress, so I'm not sure what will happen...they have said they will contact me. The vet course is in English, but the placements would be in Spanish vets, and start from 4 months onto the course, so I'd need to learn fast! I'm not really sure what to do. Thank you for asking
Tablets are keeping me awake...last night was so tired that I slept from 9ish, tonight I just can't get tired. Am all fidgetty and not tired, so I'll be around for any night owls!
Sweet dreams everyone who has gone to bed xSignature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
Saucy what happened about the other course you got accepted onto that were more accepting of your fibro etc?
feeling a bit guilty for keeping DS up now. he is very weary but restless on the sofa.

The other course was too good to be true...they want £850 by June 14th, on top of the £4,000 student finance pay them. Apparently it's to stop people signing up and then dropping out, and they won't accept payment in instalments. There's no way I can get that money...I spoke to student finance about them paying it but they said that the payment schedules are set up fairly, and that they would explain that to the company. Then they rang back to say that the company want £4,850 in total, and are only willing to wait for £4,000 of it. She said it was the most expensive course she'd seen, and that she couldn't recommend anyone who might be able to help.
So it's still a possibility, but its unlikely, unless I tried to get a credit card or something to put it on.
I hate being tired and restless, I hope DS settles down. Being poorly sucks, but it must be so much worse when you are young!

We are back. its severe tonsilitis but hasn't got a peritonsillar abcess(sp?) which was one of their concerns given his symtoms. but very angry and puss-y all the same. so started on penicillin for 5 days and should be fine. poor thing kept retching when they tried to get him to say aaah but they did eventually manage to get a look.
probably could have waited till morning but the doctor was nice and said given his symptoms it was worth checking him out.
So having a cup of tea and then bed.
Thats a shame about the other course Saucy. hope you get sorted soon. you do sound a bit happier at the moment. I really hope you start to see some progress soon hun.

I'm glad you got some medication for him Jo, penicillin should help. Is he contagious now?
I hope that he gets some good sleep and feels a lot better in the morning!
I'm trying to stay optimistic, and coming back here everyday helps.
Sweet dreams, and thank you, you guys keep me going at times and I don't know how I coped without you!

Morning all, been busy busy again...oops! Time is flying atm and before I know it I am tucked up in bed for the night and my feet haven't touched the ground. Apologies if the replies are a little late, but have been making notes to reply, but never seem to entirely catchup to post! So, here goes.....
Munchki - sense and sensability, love it! Quillows, hmmmm love the fabric btw! I would say that they would easily sell for £35+ each, but exact sum, I don't know, sorry! Think it would be dependant on what it was that they were made from, eg. someone mentioned Cath Kidson, think you could easily double the sum, just for using that, personalised, again, even just a simple name stiched on it would add £10-15 to the min price, character for the kids would add to it too. I don't know, sorry, waffle! tbh, if someone was going to go for a quillow, I would hedge my bets on the fact that they would rather have a 'special' one if they were on offer and pay the extra. (ps the link for ragrugs http://www.fourgoodcorners.com/how-to-make-a-rag-rug/)
Trying hard - hope you are feeling better now after the poking and prodding xx
Toots - lol @ the bank being closed, silly goose! Love the phrase 'bookshelf squatters!' I know exactly what you mean. I have been doing the 15 mins flying in each room once a day, but got a bit over excited when the hallway and conservatory were nearly done, so I carried on til they shone! Seem to be binning or selling/freecycling more than I am actually putting away! Also, YAY on the coutdown almost over! Enjoy your time! Can't remember what it was you said OH did? I have a friend who counts down too, her OH works on the survey vessels and is gone for 6 weeks at a time.
Jo - hope little un is feeling a bit better now he has some medicine, my mum used to prescribe lots of ice lollies for tonsilitus(I got it ALOT when I was little). It gets fluids in and the cold soothes the throat on the way down.
Skint - YAY! well done on the shop orders! Will tot up total so far in a bit for the £100 challenge.
As for me, well in my quest, I have managed to bag a few mystery shops despite the adverts placed in the job centre and them being hard to get hold of atm. I got my fav one though, £25 free food for MS on online shop, but its not til next week, along with another on sunday, just coming in on time for the £100 total! Bagged myself a bit extra making up lines for the lads down the docks for slave wages£20 a bath, taking about 5 hours at my pace, lol, but its all extra, only trouble is that I can't do it while the kids are about, hooks plus kids don't go, so am limited to evenings. Also listed a few on fleabay and they are going well, £30 each line, actual cost £11.20, so minus fees, I am running at about £14 profit per line. (There are 10 lines in a bath, so singles are only taking approx half an hour to make). eBay will dry up soon, have done it before, once you sell 8-10, the demand goes, however, did get a regular that came back a few times for 10 at a time
Lads down the docks have got at least 15 baths for me to do, so that will last longer, and take longer, but its all money!
Anywho....off to do my 15 mins upstairs, then I think get sales packed up and head off into town  laters everybody! xxturn £100 into £10000 in 2010 member #16 £567.68/£10,000 -I'm a wiggly worm, I'm a wiggly worm, how do you do, I love you, I'm wiggly worm!0 -
Now have mental pic of MummyandP with a big loofah bathing blokes at the docks!!
Sorry Munchki-I forgot to put my choccie icecream bowl in the sink last night but the dog has licked it clean-is that ok?! lmao0 -
Morning all! woohoo it's friday!!!
Jo - hope your DS is a bit better today now he has the penicillin
MummyP -I have no idea what you are talking about ...whats a 'bath?, I thought it was something to put bubbles and hot water in to wash and relax in lol! either way sounds really good, and love the M&S mystery shop you have - fab!!
Elly - good that you r DS has improved but OMG sounds like a nightmare for you.
Hi Hales  Good to see you, even if you do come in and steal the thanks button! hehe!
Morning Mabel! Hows the description writing coming on?????
Hello to everyone else too!!
Right, I am placing a TMI warning on my next comment. Sorry but wanted to ask you wonderful ladies some advice. You know I had that terrible tummy ache the other day, well today Aunty Flo (:D) has come to visit so as I (since children) usually get some aches prior I have decided it was pre-empting her visit. Now I wanted to ask is those ladies who are now mummy's - are your monthly visits different than before children? Mine are completely different and still changing, but then my body has, in about 6 years, been through a miscarriage, 2 full term pregnancies, one of which I couldn't breast feed as DS was loosing weight and then breast feeding my DD for over 2 years as she wouldn't stop, and then another miscarriage which would have been due about now. Phew when you put it like that I have put it through a lot, no wonder I am run down lol! Anyway my point is everything is different, I now suffer from pmt, which I did not have before, I now get much more pain BEFORE each month (though this month was by far the worse) and generally feel more hormonal if that sounds silly. I went to the drs a 2/3 months ago and queried it and was told to give it a bit longer to settle back down as not long since the mc, or could have antidepressents for the pmt as they now believe that seratonin (sp?) levels drop just before periods which causes the pmt......I chose to wait a bit longer. So now you know all my personal history, and way to much of it - sorry! - , please could anyone let me know if they are the same or this is normal.....not looking for sympathy just reassurance lol!
Please pm me if you'd rather not post on a public forum lol!Life is a work in progress0
