Hi all. Been out to get the exhaust done on the car. It has been sounding ropey for a while, but things tend to get put off till half terms and holidays when I can deal with them. The credit card is now £200 lighter (or is that heavier?) but at least the car doesn't sound like a plane taking off any more.

Have to take DD for an eye test in a bit. Was hoping I could abandon her and do odd bits of shopping while it happened, but for minors they ask for someone to sit in in case of accusations against the eye test chappie. What a sad world we live in.

Then we have her pal arriving for a sleepover so there will be much girlie giggling afoot! That's the point at which I can get some work done. Aiming for a load of emails and maybe 2 more scrapbook pages.

This scrapbooking has lit my arty flame again and I am getting desperate to do some crafting for me, but I know I have to keep my nose to the grindstone and just keep plugging my way through the album before allowing myself to get sidetracked. The sort of crafty stuff I have in mind doesn't have any resale potential, sadly, but will be of the chicken soup to the soul variety!

Have a happy birthday, Mambury. Glad you had a nice anniversary, NLID. Hope you feel better soon, nixi. And hello (waves) to e1 else.

NLID really glad you had a good weekend - I'm sure you needed it.

Mabel It sounds like you are getting on well with new designs. I hope the photography goes well.

2cats you do so much that its nice to hear you planning to do some craft that is just for you.

Here it is raining and DS is poorly but has put him self to bed at my mums so I am chez granny too. DH is feeling a bit better so taken DD to the shop with him to spend 10p on sweets as its been burning a hole in her pocket.lol

hi all think i have reported spam above.
Well did my car insurance today so although i wont have it by sunday skint £65 topcash back and £5.00 saved on renewal of policy so thats me at £80 already. So am i right in thinking that by saving £100 a week that would be £5200 a year ,I think i am going to have to try and have a good look at this .I think i spend way to much on food, drink, takeaways and clothes each week so think I am going to have a look at these areas .
Think I will start with food as i throw too much out of fridge when i am refilling it after shopping.
I am also considering ordering a whole load of pandora bracelets, necklaces, earrings and jewellery boxes and try to sell them through work friends market ect .and if i could clear 4 a week that would be another £100 .so would reach target ,think i have found a renewed energy for thread since house move now away to phone bank still havent recieved our form for 6/12 free council tax so going to chase them.
    happy birthday mambury.
    ev1 have a good day
